Last years block party was a hugh success where everyone had lots of fun. Many thanks to everyone who really helped out especially with the grilling and beer tent as well ice cream cart.
Now it's time to start thinking about this years event. Mark your calendars for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 2006.
2006 Block party.
Come out and meet your neighbors. Mark your calendar for Saturday September 9, 2006 with festivities starting at 4 o'clock.
The festivites will be held in the cul de sac at the end of Independence Drive.
Events for the party are still in the planning stage. We do plan on offering BW's Barbecue Chicken as well as music/DJ, a visit from the Hillcrest Fire Dept., bike parade for the kids, bounce houses, raffles, ice cream, fun and games.
We are currently accepting any donations whether it be from an individual or business. We are looking for prizes for the kids, candy,tables, chairs, utensils, plates, garbage bags, theme baskets or anything else your willing to donate to the neighborhood party.
We are also looking for teenage volunteers to help with the kids games, facepainting, balloons etc. Also any other volunteers would be great. Just email the address listed below.
Look for the flier that will be distributed in your mailbox. Please RSVP before August 25th.
