Jazz On Vinyl-Trumpet Legacy-Steve Provizer

Thanks for visiting the web page for the two programs I run at ZUMIX RADIO, 1630 AM, which broadcasts in East Boston and surrounding communities.

As the name tells you, all the music on Jazz on Vinyl is on LP's. Most of the music played during Trumpet Legacy, as well. There's a lot of great jazz that never made it onto CD and that's what I try to present in my programs. Here is a sampling of the tunes I've played in the last few weeks.

Double Talk, The Skunk-Fats Navarro (The Fabulous Fats Navarro)
Skating in Central Park-George Shearting (On the Sunny Side of the Strip)
Out of Nowhere-Charlie Shavers and others (Session at Riverside)
Deep Purple-Carmell Jones(Jay Hawk Talk)
Can't We Be Friends-Gene Ammons (The Happy Blues)
Wild Man Blues-Red Allen (Nice!)
Theme For maxine-Woody Shaw (Rosewood)
And the Angels Swing-Morganna King (Greatest Songs Ever Swung)
If You Could See Me Now-Lee Konitz (Nonet)
I Found A New Baby-Bobby Hackett, Jack Teagarden (Jazz Ultimate)
Everybody Loves My Baby-Benny Goodman (Trio and Quartet #3)
Little Pony-Basie (Basie at Birdland)
Harold's House of Bluse-Eddie Jefferson (Keeper of the Flame)
Tippin -Art Blakey (Finest of the Blakey Big Band)
Subtle Slough-Rex Stewart (Great Trumpets)
Red on Red-Paquito/C. Roditi (Live at Keystone Corner)

And so on...
