Welcome to the internet home of Impact Martial Arts Ninjutsu, the premier central Ohio source for self-defense and combat martial arts. We are a Newark, Ohio Bujinkan-affiliated dojo that focuses on the modern combat applications of ninjutsu principles. Training includes, though not limited to:
Striking - Kickboxing and striking skills that attack specific nerve targets on the body
Grappling - Applying and countering grabs, holds, and chokes
Joint Locks - Applying and countering bone and joint breaking techniques to the entire body
Throws - Using body dynamics to throw much heavier opponents
Weapons - Inlcudes blades, sticks, flexibles, projectiles, combinations, and improvised
Ground Fighting - Defense on the ground from all positions
First Aid and Survival - Basic first aid and survival skills
Our principles and techniques are derived from nine martial lineages, as passed down by Toshitsugu Takamatsu (pictured below-right) to Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi (pictured right), 34th grandmaster of the ninja tradition and founder of the Bujinkan martial arts network. Those lineages are:
1. Togakure Ryu Ninpo Taijutsu - Hidden Door School
2. Gyokko Ryu Koshijutsu - Jewel Tiger School
3. Kukishinden Happo Hikenjutsu - Nine Demon Gods School
4. Koto Ryu Koppojutsu - Tiger Knocking Down School
5. Shinden Fudo Ryu Dakentaijutsu - Immovable Heart School
6. Takagi Yoshin Ryu Jutaijutsu - High Tree, Raised Heart School
7. Gikan Ryu Koppojutsu - Truth, Loyalty & Justice School
8. Gyokushin Ryu Ninjutsu - Jeweled Heart School
9. Kumogakure Ryu Ninpo - Hiding in the Clouds School
Our training methods are extremely effective for anyone involved in Law Enforcement, Security, Bodyguarding, Bouncing, Competition, or anyone simply looking for general Self-Defense training. We train on virtually all conceivable scenarios, and incorporate the often overlooked effects of adrenaline with the practiced responses. Training is conducted in a confidence-building and safety-oriented manner.

ENROLLMENT
Potential students must be of good physical and mental health, and be at least 13 years of age.
Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 7pm, and located at:
