Grade 11 Computer Engineering Website


This website is dedicated to the Grade 11 Computer Engineering Course offered at Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Technical School. Over time, more and more information will be added, and Assignments will be posted for viewing. On the odd occasion, I may post the results from our football games.
CPU-Central Processing Unit
DOS-Stands for Disk Operating System,
RAM-Random Access Memory, can be stored and accessed on a computer at any given time.
ROM-Read Only Memory, information generally stored on discs and that can not be copied.
Hard Drive-is just a very large disk that can hold a very large amount of information usually inside the computers' structure.
USB-Universal Serial Bus, used to connect external tools to the computer, the keyboard, mouse, speakers etc.
HTTP-Hypertext Transfer Protocol, this defines how files on the world wide web are transfered.
CD-ROM-Read Only Memory stored in a cd format.
