Paoli Hospital
Paoli Hospital is situated among 43 scenic acres in Willistown Township,Chester County,Pa.
Paoli Memorial Hospital is a member of Main Line Health.
In 1996, Main Line Health partnered with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital to become a founding member of the Jefferson Health System.
Paoli Hospital Safety & Security Officers provide round the clock coverage to provide a safe and secure facility.These responsibilities cover a full range of various services and are carried out over a 43 acre campus.
The campus consists of the main hospital building, southwest pavilion, 3 Medical Office Buildings and Health Education Building. On property but detached from the hospital are the Paoli Point Medical Building and Paoli Surgi-Center . In addition, patrol coverage is also extended to all campus roadways,5 flat parking lots , one 4 level parking garage and one 2 level parking garage.
Paoli Hospital utilizes in-house security officers for its 20 member safety and security department.

Duties / Responsibilities
PH Safety and Security is a " Service Oriented " department to all internal and external customers.
In addition to random foot and mobile patrols of the PH campus,our Security Officers handle a variety of other tasks.
A few are listed but not limited to the ones below....
*Staffing of our 24/7 Dispatch Center.
*Patient assists (patient lifts and transports)
*Crisis Intervention
*Parking and Traffic control
(ensuring compliance with parking policy)
*Helicopter landings and takeoffs
PH Security ensures a safe takeoff and landing area.
PH Helipad is licensed for "MEDICAL USE ONLY"
65 foot radius pad, lights.

*Fire Safety
(assuring accessability to fire protection equipment,conducting fire drills,observing for unattended flammable liquids,accumulation of trash,frayed or damaged equipment.Officers are observing for safety hazards which could cause bodily injury to patients , staff and visitors)
* Life Safety inspections - fire extinguishers,fire doors, exit signs , blue lights .
*Inspection of panic alarm locations to ensure operational status.
*HAZMAT spill team members.
*Hospital Emergency Response team (responds to visitor , staff medical emergencies on campus).
*Patient valuables deposit and retrieval in hospital safe with witness from Admissions Department.
*Crisis Intervention
*Maintain good working relationship with local law enforcement.

*Alarm response (panic,burglar,fire,elevator and refrigeration,generator,med gas,Code Red, Code Pink, Code Green)
*Boiler Room inspection(when no Engineering available)
* Inspection of construction areas during all shifts, violations and corrections made if posssible.
*Staffing 24/7 Dispatch Center
*Reception Desk relief
*Morgue duties.
*Equipment checks
*Courtesy Calls
(Jumpstarts , air for tires , assist in locating misplaced vehicles , calling for road service or AAA )
*Policy Enforcement
*Maintaining good customer relations
