Hunting The Hi-Lo Country
Hunting The Hi-Lo Country is located on a ranch in the northeast corner of New Mexico. With approximately 40,000 private acres there are a variety of species available to hunt. The terrain here varies from high grassy plateaus (6,700 ft elev.) to rocky canyons densely forested with ponderosa pines, junipers and varieties of oak brush. These canyons drop over 1000ft to streams and hay fields. There are a number of water sources on the property including natural springs, streams and ponds. This varied terrain supports elk, mule deer, antelope, mountain lion, bear and turkey. We offer hunts for each of these.
Our hunts include one private land owner permit, one guide per two hunters, transportation on the ranch, comfortable sleeping accomodations and all meals.
The private land owner permits are isssued to us each year based on population counts done by the state. These permits allow you to book a hunt and not be subject to a lottery or draw for your tag. In most cases we can guarantee a tag for you, providing sufficient notice is given.
We are a small family operation and are selling along with the hunt, good food, nice accomodations and a friendly atmosphere. Our size allows us to offer a personal experience. In most cases you will be hunting with your party only, not competing with 25 other hunters.
