In June 2007 a Rockland County Pink Hatter segment was added to our chapter.
Most of our members live in both Orange and Rockland Counties in New York State, so our chapter is based in both Counties. Every month we always try to have some activities that are closer to where the members live. No one has to go to out of Town events unless they want to travel that far. Some members carpool. Members can go to monthly events in Orange or Rockland Counties or attend both.
We also have members from Putnam County.
A sampling of our activities have been in: Suffern, Nanuet, Nyack, West Nyack, Valley Cottage, Pearl River, Haverstraw, Garnerville, Tappan, Bear Mountain, West Point, Warwick, Chester, Goshen, Middletown in New York State, and Ramsey in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Members can pick and choose what chapter activities to go to and be as active or inactive as they want to be. All current members actively participate in the chapter.
They can go to one or all parts of the chapter (day or evening/weekend or weekday/Orange or Rockland Counties). Some members go to a couple or a few events a month. Most members go to one event a month. Our Queen goes to all the events she advertises unless no one else goes to a particular event. Do not attend an event without letting Carol Ann know that you will be there or you might find yourself alone. Activities are sometimes changed or added to our monthly schedule. Read our website and contact Carol Ann before going to an event. If an activity is removed from our Current Activities website on or before the day of the event, it means that the event has been canceled.
More than any other local chapter we socialize with Queens and members from other chapters on an ongoing basis.
