Japan Links Page
A very uninspiring title, so how about a cute girl and a fast car to liven it up? It just so happens that I have very little (touch wood) to do at school this week. I'd rather not write another monotonous diary entry, so behold the wonders of my imaginitive mind - links to other people's worlds!
BLOGS - I'm not the only self-styled "Kevin from the Wonder Years" person living in Japan. Here's some websites of people I know.
POPLE WORLD - Josh is a wizened old timer, like the Christmas Grinch (but in a nice way). Just when you thought that you hated Japan, Josh makes your daily gripes sound like a honeymoon. Read this page and realise that I'm not a paranoid neuroticist (is that a word?). Furthermore, some valuable insights into Japan from an intelligent guy who knows his stuff.
JEFF JAPAN - If you're curious about music, drinking, clubbing, nightlife and fashion in Japan, then Jeff's 'yer man. He's also learned some cool flash html, and he's more disciplined about updating.
LEANNEINJAPAN - Another JET I know, maybe you'll glean something of the difference between male and female experiences of Japan.
The Blog of the Namacha Panda - I thought this was hilarious. An ironic insight into Jinglish and Japanese humour!
PAPERS - So you wanna know what's going on in Japan, beyond my tiny and shallow little sphere? Here's your answer - not an awful lot!
JAPAN TODAY - more of a forum for disillusionned ex-pats to slag off Nihon!
JAPAN TIMES - Broadsheet paper website. Usually quite dull and official - not the first port of call.
MAINICHI SHIMBUN - more of a tacky tabloid, and the WaiWai section might be occasionally interesting.
TIME ASIA - more of a regional approach.
JAPAN TRAVEL - Do you have a "dream" (in the Japanese sense - a mirage, or something you will never realistically accomplish) to visit Japan? Then perhaps you would like to see how a few Tourism firms have ciphened off the last aesthetically pleasing spots in Japan and stuck them on their site.
JAPAN NATIONAL TOURIST ORGANISATION - usually has some pretty pictures

MISCELLANEOUS
REAL ULTIMATE POWER - Everything you ever wanted to know about Ninjas and more! Just turn the sound down at work. The tune absolutely cracks me up!
KIND OF CRAP - I've relegated this from "Blog" because its less of a journal, more of a sardonic sideswipe at the minutiae of Japanese life. This guy has way too much time on his hands (maybe even more than me, shudder).
ENGRISH - Comically awful examples of the Japanese predisposition to use English as an advertising tool! Enjoy.
JAPLISH - serious article on the use (misuse) of English in Japanese.
Enough prevarication and delay - hopefully at least some of these are interesting to people who are not me!
