What is HTML 2.0?

HTML 2.0 was the standard version of HTML around 1996. Basically, HTML 2.0 doesn't have tables, frames, Dynamic HTML, or JavaScript. I belive there were no browser plugins at that time, but some browsers supported sounds and movies. You could still create a good-looking site. There were still forms, and e-commerce. There was just so much less emphasis on design. As a result, there were fewer graphics, meaning lower download times.

Really, when was the last time you saw a website that was actually enhanced by a Flash applet?
