hello, im in the process of building a custom lowrider jeep wrangler, i have owned many jeeps over the years, and deciced to build one that is unique, it started as a daily driver only a few years old at time of purchase, after driving it for aprox 4 years i decided to build my hotrod.a 95 wrangler,i started by stripping everything off of it and selling all that i was not going to use( basically everything but body, frame and rear) and the money helped fund the project,i chopped the windshield frame 4 inches, removed all the 4 wheel drive componets,it is going to be 2-wd.i chopped off the front frame rails and made new ones from steel tubing purchased at local steel supply co.i recently orderd a mustang-2 independent suspension kit made by tci(total cost involved) ,with power rack and sway bar ,waiting for arival to install..i also bought a custom wiring harness kit,and a monster c-notch kit for the rear incase i want to drag the ground in future plans.the engine is a 350 4 bolt out of a 78 chevy truck and a 350 turbo trans,i made my own driveshaft from cut down chevy shaft.i left the orig jeep rear in for now ,it has 411 gears and thought since it was 4-wd rear it would hold up to the 350.i have a lot more pics of the steps in progress in the gallery, but when u click there you have to click view for them to show up.....
