Melissa's Poetry Page
I write to remember
the people who remain,
and the ones who have gone.
I write to remember
the places I have seen,
and have yet to see.
I write to remind myself
that this world is good;
but then, it can also have
the bad with it.
I write to remind myself
that I am a good person,
and that I can love myself.
I write to remember
that love can be the most
wonderful thing in the world,
or that it can totally break
a heart.
I write to remember
that I love my family,
even though I don't always
show it.
I write to remember
friends I have had,
and the ones I have yet
to meet.
I write to remember
this is my life,
and that I am human after all.
