An e-mail will go out every month to all members with a schedule of hikes. If you have good ideas for hikes let us know and we will get them on the schedule for the next month or whenever. Hike Schedule

- 9/7
A moderately difficult day hike up the Devil's Backbone trail to Pine Mtn. ,Dawson peak and ultimately Mt. Baldy. It will be 8 miles round trip and we will be climing from 8,240 ft. to 10,064 ft. most of which will be in the last stretch up to Baldy. If we are so inspired when up there we may even head the half mile over to west Baldy, but we'll see when we arrive. We will start and finish at the same place on the upper Lytle creek ridge.Sign up by 8/31. Limit is 12 ppl.


- 9/13 - 9/17
5-day backpacking/camping trip in the San Gorgonio Wilderness. Easy terrain and low milage hiking makes for a great trip for beginners wanting to experience a really beautiful area. The hike starts at the Lost Creek trailhead and the first night will be spent on the Grinnel ridge. The second day will be to lodgepoll springs just above Dry lake, where we will camp. Day 3 will go by Dollar lake and up the mountain to High spring meadow for night 3. Day 4 we will head up to Anderson peak for spectacular views, then down to jackstraw springs for the final night. We will be hiking out on the Forsee creek trail and will be picked up at the trail head there.Sign up today! Signup deadline is 8/31. Limit is 12 ppl.

A day hike up to Mt. Baden-Powell (old north Baldy).We will be in the Sheep Mountain wilderness. The hike will start at Vincents Gap and will be 8 miles round trip. The hike is rather steep but otherwise very pleasent and the peak is one of the most amazing i've ever seen. At 9,399 ft. and with over a mile drop into the San Gabriel canyon. Excellent views of Mt. Baldy, the high desert, and San Gabriel valley.Signup by 9/30. No limit.

A 5-day hike across the San Jacinto wilderness. Difficulty is pretty moderate throughout. (Difficult areas will be few.) We will be strting at the Fobes trilhead on the south end of the wilderness and heading up to Spitler peak and Apache peak and camping around the Apache spring. Day 2 is right up the PCT past Antsell rock and up to South peak. ..... Details soon!
