1959 Stanley Cup Semi-Finals, Game 7 Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Boston Bruins - This black & white CBC broadcast is a beauty for fans of “old time hockey”. Harry Lumley gets hit in the mouth with the puck and they have to stop play while he is stitched up because there is no back up goalie. These guys were true warriors, Frank Mahovlich is the hero for the Maple leafs sending them onto the Stanley Cup finals ending this one at 11:21 of overtime.

1977-78 Regular Season 12/26/77 Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs - One of the few games available with the Penguins wearing their Blue uniforms. Daryl Sittler stars for the Leafs scoring a pair of goals but the never say die Penguins come roaring back in the third period to not only tie the game but score the game winning goal with less than two minutes remaining securing the victory for the home crowd. This Pittsburgh broadcast is complete and good quality.

1968-69 Regular Season - Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Boston Bruins - Johnny Bower coming off an injury at the beginning of the year is making his first start. He is spectacular in net shutting out the bad boys from Boston three to nothing. Foster hewitt is announcing and Johnny is not wearing a mask! What could be better? This CBC broadcast is complete and good quality.

1975 Semi-Finals - Game 2 Montreal Canadiens vs. Buffalo Sabres - The French Connection line is in top form and the Canadiens minus Ken Dryden are not the same team. Buffalo is too strong and cruises to a 4 to 2 victory and a two games to none lead in the series.

1983-84 Regular Season - 11/19/83 "Mickey Mouse Game" - Edmonton Oilers vs. New Jersey Devils - The Edmonton Oilers destroy the hapless New Jersey Devils 13 to 4. After the game Wayne Gretzky was quoted as saying they wer a Mickey Mouse organization. He later retracted and regretted his comments. Jarri Kurri shines scoring 5 goals while Wayne picks up 8 points and Mark Messier sets and NHL record for assists in a period. This is a must for Oiler fans! Fair quality throughout.

1978 Preliminary Round, Game 3 - New York Rangers vs. Buffalo Sabres - John Davidson is spectacular keeping the game scoreless through the first period. The French Connection Line is too much for the Rangers defense to handle and davidson is bombarded with quality shot after quality shot. The Sabres score three goals in the second and one in the third to secure the victory and move onto the next round. The game closes with a fantastic fight between Jim Schoenfeld and Nick Fotiu. Very good quality throughout this is the complete game. There is another version floating around that is not complete.

1974 Semi-Finals, Game 7 Philadelphia Flyers vs. New York Rangers - This rough and tumble series would come down to one game at the Philadelphia Spectrum where the Broad Street Bullies would use intimidation to help them win this game. Dave “The Hammer” Schultz absolutely destroys Dale Rolf and the Rangers pack their tents and want to head home. The fact that Rolf took a beating is one thing but for his boys to stand around and watch is something that never would have happened to a Flyer player. The Flyers take control of the game after this fight and go on to win the game and move onto the next round. This NBC broadcast is good quality throughout.

1975-76 Regular Season 11/6/75 - Philadelphia Flyers vs. Los Angeles Kings - The Flyers enter the game with an unbeaten streak dating back to the previous season and now is 22 games. The Los Angeles Kings have been dominated in the past by the Flyers but this game is different. The Kings behind a great goaltending performance from Gary Edwards take a 3 to 2 lead late into the game but the never say die Flyers pull goaltender Wayne Stephenson and with the extra attacker on the Flyers tie the game. This is a rare and complete game from the 1995-76 season, this game features an excellent call from LA’s Bob Miller. LA forward Gene Carr scores an awesome goal. Good quality.

1984 Adams Division Finals, Game 6 - Montreal Canadiens vs. Quebec Nordiques - "BATTLE OF QUEBEC" - Known as “The battle of Quebec” this is possibly the most famous game ever played between the Montreal Canadiens and the Quebec Nordiques. Dale Hunter is playing for the Nordiques while his brother Mark is playing for Montreal………..as you can see this could be a problem. A bench clearing brawl erupts, during the brawl Louie Slegr ko’s Jean Hamel and Hamel has to be helped off the ice. Dale Hunter goes ballistic and is only calmed down after his brother Mark jumps on his back. The Canadiens win the game 5 to 3 and move on to face the New York Rangers in the Conference Finals. Monteal goes on to win their first Stanley Cup since 1979. This is a must for any hockey fan. This CBC broadcast is complete and good quality.

1985 Wales Conference Finals, Game 1 - Philadelphia Flyers vs. Quebec Nordiques - WOW!, not much to say……...an excellent overtime game for both Flyers and Nordique fans. Featuring excellent goaltending by both Pelle Lindbergh and Mario Gosselin this game goes to overtime where 500 goal scorer and future Hall Of Famer Peter Stasny scores the game winning goal giving the Nordiques a one game to none edge in this best of seven conference finals. This Philadelphia broadcast from Gene Hart is excellent and complete.

1987 Adams Division Finals, Game 7 Montreal Canadiens vs. Hartford Whalers - After shutting out the Canadiens in game 6 one to nothing you just knew it was going to a battle of epic proportions, and it was. Rookie sensation Patrick Roy vs. Mike Liut in one hell of a playoff game. It’s back and forth action with spectacular goaltending from both Roy and Liut, overtime is needed as this contest is tied one to one. Standout rookie Claude Lemieux scores the biggest goal of his young career sending the Canadiens on to the Conference finals against the New York Rangers. This is a must for any fan of great games. This is one of the best teams the Whalers ever assembled featuring Mike Liut, Ron Francis and Kevin Dineen. This CBC broadcast is very good quality throughout.

1978 Semi-Finals, Game 2 Philadelphia Flyers vs. Boston Bruins

Bos: Gerry Cheevers
What a great game, the Bruins storm out to a 6 to 1 lead early in the second period but the never say die Flyers score the next 4 goals cutting the margin to just 1 with plenty of time remaining……………….then the Bruins catch a break. Rick Middleton scores a goal but upon further review the puck never went in, do to the fact that there was no replay in those days the goal counted and sunk the Flyers chance at a great comeback. OK,……
enough cryin’……….I guess you figured I’m a Flyers fan. This is the Philadelphia broadcast and is complete and good quality.

1986 Adams Division Finals, Game 7 Montreal Canadiens vs. Hartford Whalers - It’s veteran goalie Mike Liut against rookie sensation Patrick Roy. Liut was fabulous in game 6 shutting out the Canadiens to force game 7. After three periods it’s one to one and standout rookie Claude lemieux scores the biggest goal of his young career in overtime to advance Montreal to the Conference finals to face the New York Rangers. This is an absolutely fantastic game featuring great goaltending performances from both Patrick Roy and Mike Liut. This CBC broadcast is complete and good to very good quality.

1974 Stanley Cup Semi-Finals, Game 3 Philadelphia Flyers vs. New York Rangers - Down 3 to 1 half way through the game you would have thought that the Flyers had this one wrapped up. Behind the excellent play of Rod Gilbert the Rangers score 4 more goals, Rod is involved with 3 of them. A great game for Rangers fans, this is “old time hockey” at it’s best. This is the complete game and is good quality.

1979-80 Regular Season 3/21/80 Philadelphia Flyers vs. Hartford Whalers - This game is the second and third period only. Featuring Hall Of Famer Gordie Howe in his final season as a professional hockey player. This is a must for all hockey fans. Good quality throughout this is the Philadelphia broadcast featuring an excellent call by Gene Hart. The quality is good throughout.

Detroit Red Wings vs. Colorado Avalanche, March 26th, 1997 (The Revenge Game) - It took almost one year but Detroit would get their revenge for the cheapshot laid on Draper by Claude Lemieux. In a great brawl featuring both the goaltenders, Claude Lemieux takes a beating from Darren McCarty, Lemieux requires 15 stitches to close his wounds and justice is served. To add insult to injury McCarty scores the game winning goal in overtime securing Mike Vernons’ 300th career win. Simply a must for all hockey fans!! This Detroit broadcast is complete and good quality.

1994 Eastern Conference Finals, Game 7 New York Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils - After blowing a three games to one lead the Devils now had their backs against the wall. Playing in front of a hostile New York crowd the Rangers with the help of Stephane Matteau make it back to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1980. For Matteau it’s the biggest goal of his career scoring at 4:24 of the second overtime. This is an absolute must for Rangers fans! Good quality throughout this is the conplete game.

1986 Cambell Conference Finals, Game 6 "Monday Night Miracle" - Down in the series three games to two and down in game six by three goals not many people thought the Blues had a chance of coming back. The Blues get things rolling in the third period to close the gap to two with about 7 minutes remaining. They fight there way to within one goal and with the goalie pulled for the extra attacker and little time remaining the Blues tie the game to force overtime! Doug Wickenheiser is the hero of the game scoring the biggest goal of his career in overtime to force game seven in Calgary and give the Blues one more chance to win the Conference title and make a run for Lord Stanleys’ Cup.Good quality through out.

Detroit Red Wings vs. Chicago Blackhawks - Dennis Savard stars in this victory over Detroit scoring a hat-trick including one goal on a pebalty shot. This is an absolute must for Savard fans! Good quality throughout.

1987 Patrick Division Semi-Finals, Game 7 New York Islanders vs. Washington Capitols - One of the greatest games ever played, not only does this series go seven games but game seven goes into four overtimes before Islander star Pat Lafontaine ends this one in overtime to send the Isles onto to play Philadelphia. Both Bob Mason for Washington and Kelly Rhudey for the Islanders are excellent in net. Very good quality throughout.

1981 Preliminary Round, Game 5 4/18/81 - St. Louis Blues vs. Pittsburgh Penguins - Excellent double overtime game featuring great goaltending from both goaltenders. Mike Crombeen scores possibly the biggest goal of his career at 5:16 of the second overtime.

1963-64 Regular Season 12/7/63 Chicago Blackhawks vs. Toronto Maple Leafs - Fantastic regular season game featuring great goaltending from Toronto’s Don Simmons. Filling in for Johnny Bower Don earns his second shutout of the season with a three to nothing victory over the Chicago Blackhawk's. Three different players scored for the Leafs including Frank Mahovlich who scores an unassisted goal on a great individual effort. There’s a great bench clearing brawl in the third period! This is a must for any old time hockey fan! This CBC broadcast is complete and good to very good quality throughout.

1967-68 Regular Season 10/28/67 Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Oakland Seals - An absolutely fantastic game! Down two to one entering the third period the defending Stanley Cup champs take control of the game and blitz the Seals with four unanswered goals to go onto a five to 2 victory. Jim Pappin scores a pair of goals in the third period and is the number one star of the game. Despite letting up five goals veteran goaltender Charlie Hodge keeps the Seals in the game for the first two periods
with excellent goaltending. This Hockey Night In Canada broadcast features Bill Hewitt and Brian MacFarlane at the helm. Good to very good quality. throughout.

1967-68 Regular Season 12/2/67 - Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Oakland Seals - Ron Ellis scores a pair of goals and Johnny Bower is perfect in net leading the Leafs to a three to nothing victory over expansion Oakland Seals in this game from Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. Good quality throughout this game features only the second and third periods.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Quebec Nordiques, 1985-86 Regular Season (Pelle Lindbergh's Last Game) - The great Pelle Lindbergh’s last game is a beauty as the little Swede shuts down the Blackhawk's for the Flyers 6th straight win. Tragically Pelle would be killed in a car accident. Pelle will always be remembered and loved here in Philly. God bless you Pelle and rest in peace. Good quality throughout this is the complete game featuring Hall Of Fame announcer Gene Hart with an excellent call.

1978-79 Regular Season 10/25/78 - Minnesota North Stars vs. Boston Bruins - Donny Edwards can’t keep the Bruins off the board late in the third as they earn a well deserved tie at the Met in Bloomington Minnesota. My friend JP Parisi gave me this gave, it was a coaches tape. The first period is black and white while the second and third periods are color. The quality is good throughout and the game is edited between face offs.

1980 Stanley Cup Quarter-Finals, Game 2 Boston Bruins vs. New York Islanders - This is one incredible playoff game featuring excellent goaltending, scoring, hitting and …..oh yea I forgot an absolutely fantastic bench clearing brawl! Garry Howatt jumps Wayne Cashman from behind and pounds him silly until the “old man” gets squared around and beats the little man into next week! He makes Garry wish he’d never picked on him. Bobby Bourne is the Islanders hero scoring early into the overtime period to give the Islanders their second straight overtime victory and a two games to none lead in the best of seven series. Very good quality throughout this is the complete game.

1982 Patrick Division Semi-Finals, Game 5 Pittsburgh Penguins vs. New York Islanders - In a game simply known as “The Comeback” the never say die Islanders rally from a two goal deficit late in the third period to eliminate the upset minded Penguins in a frenzied game at Nassau Coliseum. First, Mike McEwen scores on a power play to cut Pittsburgh’s lead in half, then with time running out, the puck inexplicably hops over defenseman Randy Carlyle’s stick and a streaking John Tonelli bangs
