Nick Carter was dead when the rescue team came.

"Thanks Maggie, as you said popstar Nick Carter was found dead when the rescue team arrived".
"Alise do you know what happened?"
"Asumably the Carter brother have crashed with a speeding boat, Nick Carter have asumably hit his head while flying out of the boat and drowned"
"And what about Aaron Carter?"
" He have asumably jumped in the water after Nick Carter too save him, but did'nt sucseed, Aaron Carter were seconds for drowning, when he was picked up by a passing boat"

Tears were streaming down 12 year old Aaron's face as he sang the last line.
- I love you Nick- he whispered as he passed Nick's coffin.

6 months later

- NICK!!!!!, NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!- Aaron screamed.
His screams woke up the whole family, his blond, 40 year old mum, Jane, and brown haired 17 year old sister BJ came running.
- No,no- he repeated in his sleep
- Aaron wake up- Jane said shaking him.
- He woke up and looked into his mothers sad face understanding that he had had a nightmare AGAIN!
- Nick, come back, come back- he cried hystaricly.
- Hush- BJ held him and Jane broke down and ran out of the room.
- I want him back BJ, I want him back- Aaron cried.
- I know Aaron me too- BJ said and heldt him in her arms until he fell asleep again.

Aron had been haunted by nightmares every night since his 19 year old brother Nick, had drowned in front of him 6 months earlier.
In the nightmare the accidence repeat it self and Nick come back as a ghost and blamed Aaron for his death.

The next morning :

- Dad?- Aaron's twin sister Angel said.
- Yeah- 40 year old Bob Carter said closing his paper.
- I'm scared-
- You'r scared, of what?- Bob asked taking Angel on his lap.
- Aaron's dreams- she said worried.
- Oh, honey, Aaron is going through hell right now, but he'll be okay- Bob said.
- Daddy, why did God take Nick-
- I don't know, Angel, I truly don't know-
- I need Nick, I can't belive that he's gone- she said sad.
- Me neither- Bob said.
It broke Bob's heart to see his youngest daughter with so much grief in her eyes.
- I miss him so much- Angel said and one singel tear ran down her cheek.
- Me too, honey, me too- Bob said hugging Angel.

- You know it's so fucking easy to concentrate on school work, when you have lost you 19 year old brother and your 12 year old brother screams and cry in his sleep begging Nick to come back EVERY FUCKING NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!- Aaron's 14 year old sister Leslie was screaming at er history teacher.
- I hate you, this school, the world, so show your "Leslie, your grades are going down" crap way up your ASS- Leslie screamed, threw a book at the teacher and ran crying out of the class.
This was not Leslie's first outburst, it was one of countless through out the last 6 months.

- Why, why, why -Leslie screamed and cried at the same time.
- Fuck you God, fuck this world, fuck this life, fuck you Nick, I hate you!, I wish that I was'nt your sister.
Why did you abond me?!

I hate you Nick, I HATE YOU!!!!!!!- she screamed and broke down crying at her bed.
Jane who had heared everything came rushing into Leslie's room.
- Calm down Leslie- Jane whispered.
- Why do I hate and love him at the same time?- she asked sobbing.
- I don't know-
- Why did God take Nick, I needed him more than God did?- Leslie asked.
- I guess he needed Nick to do something special like being someone's guardian angel- Jane said.
- I miss him- Leslie whispered.
- Me too-

Leslie was lying in her bed, she had just prayed.
- Nick?- she said.
- I know that your lisening to me somewhere out there, I need you to give me ha hint on how to help Aaron.
He's living a hell and someone have to help him but I don't know how to- Leslie said out loud.

Meanwhile in heaven :

Nick looked around.
- Where am I?- he though to him self.
He walked towards a gate in fron of him
Beside the gate there was a huge sign saying :"Welcome to heaven!".
Beside the sign there was a doorbell.
- This is one hell sick joke- Nick mumbeled as he pushed the doorbell.
The gates opened, he entered and the gates closed autimaticly.
When the gates had closed, out of nowhere a swing appeared.
He walked over to it and found a note saying : "Confused?".
Nick nodded.
"Don't go anywhere Jack will be with you soon".
Nick closed the note and sat down at the swing.
- What the fuck!!?!?!?- Nick exscamed.
Until now Nick hadn't noticed that he was'nt wearing his own clothes.
- Where the heck are my clothes?- he said out loud, looking at the white gown he was wearing.
- Man!, I look like Jesus- he said in disbelif.
- You're Nick Carter, I asume- a voice said.
- WOW- Nick jumped 6 feet up in the air.
- Who are you?- Nick asked turning around, seeing a man with the same white gown as himself.
- I'm Jack- the man said.
- Hi- Nick said.
- I'm sorry, I did'nt mean to scare you- Jack said.
- It's okay- Nick smiled.
- Where am I?- Nick asked.
- Where do you think?- Jack asked.
- Heaven?- Nick guessed
- Yup!-

- You'r dead Nick!- Jack said.

- Well, I see that you are quite much younger that the people we usually take in- Jack said skretching his head.

- Your very young- Jack said.
- I guess- Nick said shugging his shoulders.
- Well, since you're so young, I guess the boss have some kind of special assignment for you, I'll go and check- Jack said and disappeared.
He retured 5 minuttes later.
- Yes?- Nick said.
- Like I thought the boss have something special in mind from you-
- What is it?- Nick asked exsited.
- Eh, a mission-
- A mission, that's just too cool.
- Calm down- Jack said.
- What kind of mission?- Nick asked, still exsited.
- I'll tell you soon enough, before that, do you have any questions?- Jack asked.
- How did I die?-
- You and your brother, Aaron, was out on a boat, when another speeding boat crashed into your-
And as a result of the crash, you were thrown out of the boat and on the way out of the boat you hit you head and became unconsious.
Aaron who was'nt hurt jumped after you to save you, but he was too smal and you were to heavy- Jack said.
- And Aaron what happened to him?- Nick asked worried.
- He nearly drowned, but was saved by a passing boat in the last second- Jack said.
Nick sighted with relif.
- Anymore questions?- Jack asked.
- Nope- Nick said.
- Then your mission-
- Since your death, Aaron have been haunted by nigthmares where the accidence repeat's it self and you come back an blame him for your death.
He blames himself for not saving you.
Your mum and dad know about the nightmares, but not the guilt feeling- Jack said.
- Oh my God- Nick said sad.
- Your mission is to help him to get over your death and take away the guilt feeling- Jack said.
- How am I gona do that?- Nick asked.
- You'll have to pay you sister, Leslie, a visit, you have to make her belive that its you and tell her what to do and she'll help Aaron- Jack said.
- If that won't work?-
- Then you'll have to visit Aaron your self- Jack said.
- Alright, when do I start?- Nick asked.
- Right now!-
- That's cool-
- Off with you- Jack said and Nick disappeared.

- Home alone- Leslie thought to herself.
BJ was a ta photoshoot (she was a model),Bob and Angel were at Disney World and Jane and Aron were at Aaron's phsycologist.
- I might aswell do some school work now, that no one is here to intrrerupt- she thought and put her history books at her bed and lied down.
She opened her books and started reading.
After 5 minuttes, her head fell down at her books
- ARGH!!!!, I can't get this right- she said frusurated.
Leslie had always had troubble with history.
She decide to try once again.
- The shot's in Sarajevo, was one of several reasons that the 1st world war started, USA came in, at the end of 1917 with fresh and ready men- she read out loud.
- Oh Nick should have seen me now- she sighted.
Nick had always helped Leslie with her history work.
- He would have been so proud- she smiled.

Leslie was so scared of the voice that she fell off the bed.
She tured around to see Nick standing in front of her.
She screamed like she had seen a ghost, well she had.
- Leslie don't scream, the neighbours might hear you!!!!!!- Nick hushed.
Leslie was pasty white and was shaking uncontrolably.
- It's me, Nick, I'm a ghost- Nick said.
- N…Ni….Nick…..Leslie whispered.
- It's me, Baby Duck- Nick said.
- Oh God- Leslie knew that it was Nick, cause no one called her Baby Duck, beside Nick and no one knew that he called her that either.
- Why…….how….- Leslie was choking her words.
- I'm here 'cause I need you help- Nick said.
- Nick you don't have a clue how much I have prayed fot you to come back as an angel, ghost, whatever,- Leslie cried.
- Hush- Nick said giving Leslie a hug.
- Lisen, I'm here for a short time, and you have to promise me that you won't tell anyone that I'm here ok?- Nick said.
- I won't- Leslie said between sob's.
- You have to help Aaron-
- Me?, how am I supposed to do that, you'r the angel here?- Leslie asked.
- Because I can't do it, I'm not a human anymore, I'll tall you all about it later- Nick said.
- Okay-
- Now its important for me to know everything about Aaron's behavor since my death, his career and all that stuff- Nick said and sat down at Leslie's bed.
- As you know, Aaron released an album a week before you died, he had a world tour which was supposed to start in February, but was put in hold so that Aaron could gather himself after you death and is still on hold for a undefined matter of time- Leslie started.
- Whats maybe worst about this whole deal is that, Aaron has'nt sung a note since your funeral-
- Aaron sang in my funeral?- Nick asked with tears in his eyes.
- Yeah he song a song he had written for you after your death called "Like an angel"- Leslie said
- Anything else, beside what you have just told me and the nightmares?- Nick asked.
- Yeah, he rearly speaks anymore-

Aaron had always been a talking person, who'd never be able to shut up.
- Yeah, in the last 4 months the only thing he has said that I have heared it either "NO!" or "NICK!!" when he dreams, the only person he actully says something to is BJ- Leslie said.
- Oh Lord- Nick said crying.
- I guess that neither BJ, Angel, Aaron or I knew how much we depended on you-
- Me neither- Nick said trying to keep himself together.
- How's BJ and Angel?- he asked.
- Angel cries alot and often askes me or dad why God took you and things like that and BJ is on the out side, the one who is dealing with this the best and is strong for Angel Aaron and me, but on the inside, I think she's just as heartbroken as the rest of us- Leslie said.
- Mum and dad then?- Nick asked.
- I think its with dad as its with BJ, he is heartbroken on the inside and breave on the outside, especially for mum's sake, mum is like BJ and dad, heartbroken on the inside and trying to be breave for the rest of us on the outside-
- And you?-
- I cry my self to sleep every night, I have anger outburst I don't have any control over, it feels like the world, you and God have all tured your backs on me, my grades are going down, yesterday, I had a anger outburst again at my history teacher for telling me that my grades are going down, and I miss you more that I ever thought was possible- Leslie's tears filled with pain streamed down her cheek's.
- Oh Leslie- Nick said and put her head in his lap.
- Now, your job is to tell me what Aaron does whenever he goes outside the house, cause I can see him when he's in here -
- Sure do- Leslie smiled wich she had'nt done in 6 months.
- I'll be back in 5 - Nick said and disappeared.

- I'm back- Nick decleared when he came back 10 minuttes later.
- Oh Hi- Leslie said.
- I did'nt come back to enjoy my self unfortunally, I have you first assignment- Nick said.
- So ahead- Leslie said.
- When Aaron go to bed tomorrow night you go into him and talk to him, saying things like that you love him and that things is gona be okay-
- Alright, I'll do it-

The next night Leslie did as Nick had told her to, but Aaron just shugged her off.

After a week of countless atemps to get to Aaron without getting anywhere, Leslie was losing hope.
- Oh this ain't ever gona work- she sighted as she dropped exhaused down at her bed.
- Tonight did'nt work either?- Nick appeared.
- No it did'nt- Leslie said.
- The is' time for crises plan A- Nick said
- Which is?-
- You know that I keept a diary, right?-
- Yeah-
- And you were the only one who knew?-
- Yeah-
- Tomorrow you have to go to the desk in my room and in the middle drawer, under a bunch of papers, you'll find my diary and give it to Aaron tomorrow night, you can read it also if you wanna, but you'll have to wait until I ain't coming back again- Nick said.
- Okay- Leslie nodded-
- Good night Les, see ya tomorrow-
- Good night Nick-

Leslie silently went into Nick's old room.
She opened the middle drawer and found his diary under a ton of papers.
Nick's diary was green, and on the front it said, "Diary", then "Private!" and then "Hands'off!!!!!"-
She left the room with the diary in her hand and hid it in her bed waiting for the evning to come.

Leslie saw her mum disappear from Aaron's room.
Leslie waited for 5 min. before she went to his room.
She knocked on the door and entered.
- Hi- she whispered.
Aaron saw her but did'nt say anything.
- I just came by to give you this- she said and heldt up the diary.
- Nick wanted us to read it when he was gone- Leslie said and gave Aaron the book.
Aaron looked questioning at her.
- I was the only one who knew that Nick keep a diary- she said.
He looked at her with teary eyes.
- Don't say anything about this to mum please?- Leslie begged.
"Cross my heart" Aaron signed by "drawing" a cross over his chest.
Leslie turned around to leave, when Aaron grabbed her hand.
- Yes?-
He handed her the diary.
- Why are you giving it to me ?- she asked.
Aaron just shoke his head.
- But Nick want you to read it- She protested.
Aaron fanaticly shoke his head no.
- Come on Aaron!- she said.
But Aaron just pulled the cover over his head.
Leslie decide that this was no use.
- Bye- she said as she left.
She quietly went back to her room, where Nick was waiting.
- Man!, that little guy is so stubborn!!!- Nick exclamed.
- I know- Leslie sighted and dropped on her bed.
- Why did'nt he wanna read it?- Nick asked.
- I dunno-
- Well the I guess its time for crises plan B!- Nick said enthustiasticly.
- This plan better work- Leslie said.
- I'll put this plan into life myself so all you have to do is to find somethings for me- Nick said.
- What things?-
- Pen, paper, a voice recoreder, a tape to the voice recoreder, and an envolup, do you thing you can get me that by tomorrow afternoon?-
- Yeah sure- Leslie said.
- Night Baby Duck-
- Night Nicky-

Leslie ran up stairs with all the stuff Nick needed.
- Nick?- She said.
- Yes- he appeared.
- I've got it all- she smiled.
- Thanks, I could'nt have gone through with this plan without this stuff- Nick smiled.
- My plesure- Leslie said.
- Well, I guess I see you later, I have to go and prepair for tonight- Nick said and disappeared.

Leslie had gone to bed and just finished praying when Nick appeared.
- Baby Duck- he whispered.
- Yeah- she whispered back.
- This plan is gona work, so this is the last time I see you until you join me in heaven- Nick said.
- I know- she said sad.
- If you ever feel lonely, look up in the sky and you'll know I'll be there watching over you- Nick said
Leslie had tears steaming.
- Leslie Ann , I love you- Nick said.
- I love you too, Nickolas Gene-
- Som what's the plan?- Leslie asked, trying to stop crying.
- I can't tell you, but you'll find out tomorrow-
- Alright-
- Baby Duck?-
- Yes-
- Do you stil have that polroid camera?- Nick asked.
- Yeah-
- Do you think you can find it?- he asked.
- Sure- Leslie said, got up from her bed and found the camera.
- Let's take a pic- Nick suggested.
- Yeah!- Leslie smiled.
They took 25 pic's of them self's laughing their heads off, and just having fun.
When the pic's cleared up nick took the one he liked the best and stared to write a message on the back.
When he was done he handed it to Leslie.
"Dear Baby Duck,

- Leslie I have to go- Nick said teary.
- I know, go, go help Aaron- Leslie tried to smile but broke down in tears.
- I love you- Nick cried and kissed her forhead.
- I love you too, Nicky, more than you'll ever know- Leslie cried.

And then Nick disappeared from Leslie's room, this time forever.

Nick appeared in Aaron's room.
Hen saw Aaron sound asleep in his bed and decided that it was time to put the plan into work and enter the world of Aaron's dreams.

*Aarons dream*

Aaron sat on a bench.
- Hello?- he called.
- Hi AC!- Nick appeared in front of Aaron.
- Nick?- Aaron asked with teary eyes.
- Yeah AC, It's me-
- Oh my God!- Aaron cried and threw himself into Nick's open arms.
- Oh AC, I've missed you- Nick cried.
- I've missed you too- Aaron cried.
- Where am I, in heaven?- Aaron asked releasing from Nick's hug.
- No, we're between earth and heaven, in the world of dreams- Nick said.
- So this is just a dream?-
- Yeah-
- Why are we here?- Aaron asked.
- I needed a little brother to brother chat with you-
- 'bout what?-
- About you behavor lately- Nick said and Aarons face went sad.
- You mean the nightmares?-
- Not just that, but yes the nightmare also-
- What about them?- Aaron asked.
- AC it ain't you falut that I died, you tried to save me, and almost got yourself killed- Nick said.
- Yes it is my fault- Aaron said.
- No it ain't-
- Maybe it ain't but I feel so guilty- Aaron had tears streaming down his face.
- Why?- Nick asked.
- There are two reasons, one, you were always there for me when I needed you, and when you for once really needed me I could'nt help you and two, I feel guilty about getting to live while you had to die-
- Oh AC- Nick said giving Aaron a hug.
- It was supposed to be like this, Aaron, it was my time and not your's, its all up to fate- Nick said.
- I guess you'r right- Aaron said.
- And Aaron-
- Yes-
- You haven't been signing since my funeral- Nick said.
- No I haven't- Aaron confessed.
- When you wake up from this dream, you have to go on without me, go on with your life, you were destinaited to sing- Nick said
- I don't know how to sing anymore- Aaron said.
- Don't be silly all you have done the last five years is to sing-
- After I sang in you funeral, I did'nt have the desire to sing and later on I had forgotten how to do it- Aaron cried.
- I see, but when you wake up, just thing of how I leared you the hard parts in "Show me that meaning of beeing lonely" and try to sing- Nick said.
- Alright, I promise- Aaron said.
- AC I'm getting pulled back to heaven now, so I just need to tell you that I love you- Nick said.
- I live you too- Aaron said.
And the Nick sang a song he had written to Aaron, called "With you in your dreams".
Nick finished the song.
- Bye AC, I love you and I'll be with you in your dreams- Nick said crying.
- I know, I love you too, bye Nikkers- Aaron smiled though a strain of tears and Nick disappeared.

Aaron woke up.
He looked at his watch, 7.20 am.
It was only 10 min. til his alarm would go off, so he decided to get up.
He grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom to have a shower.
5 min. later he was all done showering and getting dressed and was going to brush his teeth.
He opened the locker where he had his toothbrush and saw an envolup with his name on it.
It had Nick's hand writting on it and Aaron suddenly remembered the whole dream.
- What's this- he though to himself as he ran into his room.
He opened it and inside there was a tape and a letter.
He put the tape in the tape player and opened the letter:
Dear Aaron,
The song on the tape is the one I sang in your dream.
If you want to you can use it on your next album or on your shows or something.
If you do and mum ask who wrote it you can tell her that I wrote it to confort you when we were apart touring.
And remember I were destinated to die and watch over you and your were destinated to sing

Aaron started the tape and out of the speakers came the sound of the song in his dream.
As he lisened to the song tears were streaming down his face.
Suddenly he remembered what Nick had said about trying to sing "show me the meaning of beeing lonely", so he tried :

Aarons voice was stronger than it had ever been.
He felt the desire to sing and preform again rushing through him like it had done so manny times before.
- MUM!!!!!!, DAD!!!!!!!!!- he screamed as he ran down the hall to his parants bed room.
- Aaron sweetie what's wrong?- Jane asked.
- Nothing at all, I have just gotten back the desire to prefrom again, so mum , call all the venues at my world tour, which by the way have been on hold for way way to long, and book me in, call Madison Squere Garden where my first concert will be in exsacly 2 months to the day- Aaron started.
- Dad, call all my dancers and Fatima and tell them to be down at "Team O'Robinson" dancing studio's, ready to
rehersal for the tour at noon tomorrow, and call Gary Carola ( Aaron's song writter and producer) and tell him that I'll be down at his studio with 25 new songs, and a million new ideas to other songs and that I'm ready to record again- Aaron smiled and talked 100 miles pr. second.
- Aaron what happened to you?- Bob asked.
- You know the quote :" A friend is someone who can sing the song in your heart back to you when you have forgotten the words" that on goes fro angels aswell- Aaron grinned widely, for the first time in over 6 months.
Aaron left Jane and Bob's room and ran down the stairs while singing :

*2 months later*

Madison Squere Garden was packed with 100 000 screaming girls.
Aaron first concert on his world tour and since Nick's death was about to start.
- Ladies and gentelmen, 8 months ago this 12 year old's life was crushed in to a million pices, now he's back where he belong, on stage.
Put your hands together for AARON CARTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!- a voice screamed.
With one big bang, Aaron and his 10 dancers appeared on stage.
The show started with "Shake It!" and continued with old hits and new song from his newest album,
Soon it was time for the last song.
- You have been an awsom, audience tonight, New York, but now it's time for the last song, Nick I don't know where you are tonight, but I know you can hear me wherever you are, this song is for you, I wanna dedicate this last song to my big bro, Nick, my hero, idol and my guardian angel, the song is called "With you in your dreams"-

A few moments of silence rouled Madison Squere Garden, before in nearly exsploded into applaus and cheers.

And as Aaron walked off stage, he could have sworn that he saw Nick, clapping and cheering in the front row.........
