Hamakua Agriculture Plan
Hurray!! The first draft of the Hamakua Agriculture Plan is COMPLETED and ready for public input! Due to the length of the plan, we could not post the entire document onto the site,however The Executive Summary, intro, and write ups on key issues are available in the drop down menu above. Each committee's report is on their individual page with the exception of Land Use: Due to the complexity and depth of the Land Use issues, there was not enough space available for their entire report. Their closing summary covers the majority of the plan's issues and that has been included on the land use link. All other committee's reports for the plan are listed in their entirety. If you would like a copy of the complete draft (42 pages) send an email to Amycody@hawaii.rr.com
For those of you less than familiar with computers: Above this text is a white rectangle with the word HOME-next to that rectangle is an arrow-position your mouse over that arrow and left click-it will show you a menu of links to the various committeess of the Ag plan. You can then select by repositioning your mouse and left clicking.
The links to state and county sites and documents, articles and ordinances used for reference in writing the ag planhave been moved to the "link page" for reference purposes.
This site is provided as a resource for the committees and community members interested in the development and implementation of a successful ag plan for the Hamakua community. It was built and is maintained by the Civic Committment Committee for Information, Education and Implementation of the Hamakua Ag Plan.
