Hello, my name is Erica. I am a new stylist to Hair of Glory by way of Buffalo, New York. I have been a licensed stylist for 9 years. I worked for Supercuts for the last few years until I came to Georgia. While working for Supercuts, I was also a Certified Technical Trainer for four years. Which means that I trained new stylist advanced cutting and styling techniques and supported current stylist with advanced cutting and coloring techniques. I have recently come to Hair of Glory so that I can bring the same principles of natural and healthy hair care maintenance. My strengths are cutting and natural and/or relaxed hair care maintenance. Focusing on growing and maintaining full natural healthy hair and locs!!
Some of the specialty products that I use for natural hair and locs are Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding, Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue, and Miss Jessie's Buttercreame. From using these products your hair has a nice clean hold that does not flake up and has a pleasant scent. No nasty buld up left behind and no sticky feeling like most loc & twist gels that you buy at local beauty supply stores. The Curly Pudding is my favorite. The pruple pudding has a great smell and helps to elongate the curl. For tight kinky, curly hair, it will help leave length long as product is applied. The Curly Meringue is similar to the pudding except it does not elongate the hair as much and it provides a little stronger hold that the pudding. This is the product I use on hair that is more coarse that others to give a better hold. This product dries clean as well. The Buttercreme is a nice light moisturizer that I use before doing braids(cornrows). It is not as heavy as grease, but nos as runny as oil, to help provide moisture to the scalp without making the hair greasy. Another product that I use is the Natural loc and twist spray. This helps provide a stronger lock and hold on th twists and it also cuts down on dryer time. ALl the products just mentioned you can learn more about at Urbanbella's web site. For relaxed hair, I use Mizani products. The Mizani relaxers, shampoo, conditioners, foam wrap, curling wax, hair spray, oil sheen, etc. The Mizani styling products used on the clients, can all be purchased at the salon for home hair care. For thinning hair, the specialty products that I use are Nioxin. Nioxin is a product line for thinning hair. This is an all natural product line that helps promote new hair growth. The Cleanser, Scalp Therapy, and the Scalp Treatment is a system designed to aid in hair growth. It is very simple to do, just shampoo, conditioner, and a treatment, which can all be applied in the shower. The product line has four stages. A system for normal to thin looking hair, and for excessively thin looking. The other system are the same but for chemically treated hair. Meaning hair that has been, colore, permed, or relaxed.
