Welcome to our new and evolving website. Grin And Bare It are based in Tyneside. We are a diverse group of disabled writers, actors and musicians. This gives us a unique and often comic perspective on how society excludes us.
PERFORMANCES AND WORKSHOPS.
GABI have hosted two cabaret evenings at The Buddle Arts Centre showcasing disabled performers and appeared at events for Tees Valley Arts, DANE (Disability Action North East), Mental Health Matters, norDAF, Hexham Arts Centre, The Gateshead Access Panel, Tyne Metropolitan College, Middlesbrough College and Leisure Choices - reaching approximately 2,500 people. The "Get In" Project was launched in June, 2005 - providing open workshops in drama, clowning, dance, masks, music and writing.

A song-and-dance extravaganza that explores the effects of scientific advances in genetics.
Set in and around the Sir Oswald Moseley Centre for Reproduction, the charismatic professor Hugh Genics takes the audience on a jolly journey of designer babies, compulsory gene therapy, 'mercy' killings, and lots of other ways to get rid of us...
