An Act of Curatory dated 19th November, 1698 is referred to.

DUMFRIES COURT COMMISSARY WILLS: CC5/6/2 - 27th April, 1642 - Testament testamentar - of Robert Greirsone in Castlephairn [sic] [Castlefairne?] parish of Glencairn - died July, 1641 or thereby. He was married twice - 1st wife was MARGAR[E]T McRORISONE - and by her he had ROBERT [GREIR], MARIE [GREIR], & ISOBELL GREIRS. His brother germa[i]n, JOHN GREIRSONE of LAG to be their overseer. His second wife is ELSPETH GORDON & he had ALEX [GREIRSONE] & MARGRAT [sic] GREIRSONE by her. - Their tutor is to be ALEXANDER GORDON of Knockgray, his father-in-law, and their overseer is to be (VISCOUNT) KENMURE.
DUMFRIES COURT COMMISSARY WILLS: CC5/6/2 - 19th September, 1642 - Testament Testamentar of CUTHBERT GREIRSONE in Auchinhay - died 1640. Will made 1st day of April, 1640. Leaves money to his two
sister['s] daughters and their mother, his sister [sic] unnamed. To ANGES GREIR 'dochter' of JON GREIR in Brigend, to ROBERT GREIR, 'wobster' in Sleoch his brother['s] son natural [sic]. He nominates JOHN BRATNOCH in Glesters? his sister['s] sone and JOHNE GREIRSONE at the Brigend of Dumfries his only executors. Made at
the dwelling house of the said JOHN GREIR in Dumfries.
DUMFRIES COURT COMMISSARY WILLS: CC5/6/5 - 29th October, 1673 - ROBERT GREIRSONE - testament testamentar - died December, 1671 - he was ROBERT GREIRSONE, younger, portioner of Laggane [Laggan, Dunscore Parish, County of Dumfries]. Will made 22nd December, 1670 - his executors were ROBERT [GREIR], JAMES [GREIR], & JEAN GREIR, [sic] his bairns lawful.
