Grace Prayer Bulletin # 91

A ministry of The King's Chapel

Grace Prayer Bulletin # 91
January 15, 2000

Twelve Baskets Ministries - West Liberty, Ohio USA
The Twelve Baskets Ministry is said to be the "Worlds Largest Missionary
Cupboard." It is located in an two old school buildings in West Liberty,
Ohio. They work hand in hand with many businesses that have produced too
much, changed packaging or models or other various reasons. Twelve Baskets
Ministry does not resell or redistribute used clothing, all clothing is new
and they do on occasion receive material that is reconditioned, but
virtually all material is new and of first quality.
There is an annual charge of $40 (US) for Missionaries and youth groups to
help cover the cost of collection and distribution. Churches and individual
brethren are encouraged to help Missionaries by giving them Scholarships.
This is also an excellent opportunity for a Sunday School class or youth
group to step in and take another small step in assisting Missionaries.
Missionaries must be in agreement with their doctrinal statement.
Participants can come to the "store" a suggested maximum 4 times per year as
they generally receive 4 major shipments per year. They do take a "mobile
store" to annual mission board conferences when possible.
By making extensive use of donated items and services they are able to keep
their budget trimmed to the bare essentials. For every dollar spent they
are able to provide 20 to 25 dollars of materials for the use of
Missionaries. So, then, a forty dollar sponsorship for Missionaries can
provide 800 to 1,000 dollars of provisions for them. The materials they
generally provide are clothing, computer software, office supplies,
hardware,
books, awards for youth work and other goods.
Joel and Tonya Veldt direct this ministry and are a part of Grace Chapel
Church in West Liberty. This church is a growing work of God's grace in
West Central Ohio farm country.
The store address for snail mail is:
PO Box 777
West Liberty, Ohio 43357
It is located at 420 West Columbus Street in town. The Phone number for the
ministry is (937) 465-3733 and the Veldt family can be reached by email at

Grace Prayer Ministry Web Pages
We are in the process of updating our web page in a big way. I have put up
Past Grace Prayer Bulletins (about 60 of the 91, so far), we will be adding
all that we have soon. We are going to put up the Grace World Views, both
those that have been distributed and some that have not been published or
ever will.
I would like to also to both link to Missionaries, including posting
information on pages we will provide and those already published. I have a
link page to Churches and their ministries that we are currently at work.
If
you could send your links it would be most appreciable. A new Page Builder
has made this possible. I will emphasize the creation of web pages for
Missionaries who currently do not have a web page closely followed by those
who do, then Bulletins and World Views Etc.
If you would like a page as a mission project we do basically just text at
this point, but we will add more as time goes. If you are a missionary and
would like a web page send us a letter describing yourselves and your
ministry etc. We will add prayer letters over time. Webspawner provides
web pages to all, we have inside track, you may check our web page for
reference. We would love to help. If any have advise to give us; our ears
are
wide open and ready to read.

This in from HCJB radio with missionary and correspondent Mark Summers of
Quito Ecuador - (HCJB World Radio) - Calamities in Ecuador ranging from
volcanic eruptions to economic turmoil are contributing to an unprecedented
openness to the gospel, reports Tom Fulghum, HCJB World Radio's director for
Latin America. "Gustavo Molina, who has served as a chaplain at Hospital
Vozandes-Quito for more than 30 years, says he has never seen such openness
to the gospel in all of his many years of ministry," Fulghum explains. "This
is one positive aspect of the situation. Where there is a greater sense of
need there is
greater receptivity to the Lord. With the economic turmoil and the active
volcanoes, many opportunities have become available for direct ministry to
these needy people.
Pray for Mark as he holds workshops with Ecuadorian pastors equipping them
with the Word of God as it is in Truth.

Grace Prayer Bulletins are a ministry of The King's Chapel of West Chester
(northern Cincinnati), Ohio with pastors: Tom Wells and Newton Bush. They
are committed to the doctrines of grace and the testimony of Jesus Christ as
presented in Scriptures. Please feel free to distribute and contribute to
the newsletter. Also, look us up on the Internet on our new and improved
web site.
