Grace Prayer Bulletin # 90

http://www.webspawner.com/users/graceprayerministry
We now have old Bulletins available for viewing."And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He
who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. To Him all
the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will
receive remission of sins." (Acts 10:42-43; NKJ)Brian Ellis - Christian Compassion Ministries - Philippines
Pastor Brian Ellis of the Reformed Baptist Church of Cubao, Philippines has
asked urgent prayer be lifted up for the new Children's Home of Christian
Compassion Ministries. "The Home Owners Association of the Subdivision
which we have to pass through to our new Children's Homes have carried out
today their threat to limit access to our site. They have begun to build a
wall across the entrance to our street. They say they will still allow
pedestrian access for the time being or we can purchase vehicular
access for US$12,500 or UKL.8,000. We do not intend paying any
such sum.
We would value your prayers that we may do the right thing in this
situation. It is particularly difficult for the children and staff who are
currently living in the building as we do not have our own water
supply yet. We are currently having water delivered by tanker and
that will of course cease. Water will then only be available in
buckets.
We also need wisdom on how to respond in taking the necessary
legal steps to complain about such action which we believe to be
illegal. May we do all as servants of our Sovereign Lord in a spirit of
humility and gentleness. Particularly pray for our children that they
may be encouraged to see the hand of the Lord at work in this
difficult situation.
Thank you for your prayers
Brian T. EllisRay and Carol Harbaugh - Chile
The Harbaugh are currently being refreshed at Lican Ray for the annual
missionary conference. They have asked pray for safety as they travel. This
year the missionaries come from Uruguay and Argentina. The conference runs
from January 3rd - 10th. Ray will have a message in one of the evening
services, and Carol will be helping Lesa Holmes from Argentina with the
music during the conference. Pray for the special speaker, Larry Clouse. His
wife, who has cancer, will be accompanying him.
After the missionary conference Ray will be at the Annual Pastors
Convention. This is from the 11th - 13th. Pray for the business and ministry
planning sessions time with the pastors. After the Pastors convention Ray,
Carol, and all the kids will be at the Missionary/Pastor Family camp in
Lican Ray from the 14th through the 20th. This is a great time of fellowship
with the national brethren. Ray will be having the morning messages during
that camp. He has been asked to speak on friendship among the leaders. Pray
for the Lord to bless that time, and for each one in attendance to be
encouraged and refreshed.
Hernan and Jacob will be taking the two Sunday services while they are away.
Pray for their ministries. They have been a little down in attendance toward
the end of the year. It is summer and many are traveling. Please pray for
Mario, Isabel, Eduardo, Maria Soledad, Nicolas, Valentina, Angel, and Maria.
Thanks for praying for them as they start the new year. The Royal Mail - Update - The Andrew king Family - Going to Brazil.
Andrew notes, "Just a brief note to say that we are now nearly packed. The
shipping container is due to arrive tomorrow at 10.00 a.m., which means that
we want to have everything boxed up and stacked in an orderly manner.
Despite good progress in the boxing up, the orderly manner has proved
somewhat elusive up to now! We will probably be going off-line today, as
the computer will be packed in a few hours. A friend is lending us a machine
until we go, but we are making this the final general e-mail for a little
while - probably a few weeks. Our current e-mail address will be checkable
occasionally in Brazil, so if you wish to contact us, please continue to use
it until we are linked up
with a new ISP. Andrew.King@ukgateway.net
We are so glad - and greatly moved - that so many are planning to come to
the farewell and commissioning meeting at Great Walstead on Saturday. Please
pray for that occasion: in particular that the focus will be upon the Lord,
his word and his world, not upon us. Our Good-byes (God be with you) in this
life are best when said to one another by a people intent upon honoring God
and hearing his voice.
Please pray for help in simply letting go of the work. In one sense there is
no need to let go - we can still pray for and have an involvement with the
churches here. But it is hard to face the fact that the curtain is closing
on the opportunity to preach to or counsel particular unbelieving, stubborn
or backsliding individuals. Coming to such an end of ministry shines a hard
searchlight on opportunities missed or muffed in the past. It is salutary to
remember that the day of grace is finite. Whether through a move such as
this, incapacity, death, or the coming of our Lord, every gospel minister
will one day preach his last sermon, have his last opportunity to
communicate the good news. May we have a constant sense of urgency to live
and preach every day for Christ - as a dying man to dying men."Charles Collins - Pollard Evangelical Church - Kettering, England
Can I take this opportunity to wish you God's richest blessing for the New
Year. The Church in Kettering is joyful they are able to give thanks, for
the very fact that they have come through another year. In times of
spiritual decline in England and all the UK, and the closing of churches,
they are truly be thankful that the Lord has brought them through this year.
Pastor Collins said, "We are thankful that the Lord has given us new
families who have continued with us to the end of the year. Though they are
few, they are a great encouragement to us. Even in the last couple of weeks
of the year we have been encouraged by the attendance of a young lady who
had an evangelistic newspaper delivered to her home. She decided to come
along to the church and then a couple of weeks later she brought her
husband. We are thankful for the Lord's safe keeping concerning our
children's work. We have between 40-50 children each week coming into the
church and there have been no serious accidents. We are thankful that we
have the opportunity to share the gospel with these children each week. We
are thankful that we have been
able to maintain our Ladies' Meeting throughout the year. Even though the
lady who helped Lydia run and organize the meeting has left the church, we
are thankful that another lady in the church has volunteered her services
and has brought a greater maturity to the work.
We are thankful for helping us to bring to completion our Church
Constitution and for those who have shown interest in joining the church.
We are also thankful for opportunities to take a short service in an Old
People's Home (Sunley Court). We took their Christmas Service and it went
down so well they have asked us back on a monthly basis. There are many
other things that we have been able to give thanks to the Lord for. As we
reflect on what He has done for us it gives us great hope for this New Year.
It also gives us confidence to come before Him and plead with Him concerning
the work here. Will you join with us in praying that
1.the Lord will glorify His name through our labors here.
2.the Lord will keep us faithful unto Him
3.the Lord will add to our number like-minded families
4.that the Lord would give us men able to help in the leadership of the work
and in the activities of the church.
5.the Lord would save sinners, young and old
6.the Lord would keep us in peace and unity.Mt. Zion Bible Church - Chapel Library - Pensacola, Florida, USA

Teach the gospel of Christ, as well as a deeper knowledge of the Word of
God.
To offer courses without charge which will be distributed as far and wide
as possible.
To glorify God and bring people to worship Him.
The course materials have wide distribution into several environments:
Individuals working in independent self-study.
Groups using the course together, with feedback from a group coordinator.
Correspondence study, with individual grading and feedback from Mount Zion.
The MZBI courses are very practical in nature, since practical application,
obedience, and holy living are our biggest struggles in the Christian life.
The focus is on understanding and obeying the truth, rather than memorizing
facts for a grade. To this end, the courses search the heart, challenge the
conscience, and encourage holy living which pleases our Lord. Because we
seek the approval of God and not men, the courses have no 'diplomas'.
Subject areas include salvation, practical Christian living, and topical
studies.
If you are interested in a course from the Institute, please e-mail us at
school@mountzion.org or for more information visit the Institute page.

Mt. Zion Bible Church
We are a local assembly of approximately 45, banded together to worship the
Lord as He is revealed in Christ Jesus, following the truths set forth in
His holy Word. Our doctrinal position is most accurately expressed by the
1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. Our passion is for the lost, and we
are determined, as was Paul, to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ and Him only!Grace Prayer Bulletin is a ministry of The King's Chapel, West Chester,
Ohio. This Bulletin is intended for your use, it is copyrighted, but
available for any to use. It is to stay non-profit in its use, to the glory
of God.
