Grace Prayer Bulletin # 77

A ministry of The King's Chapel

Grace Prayer Bulletin # 77
October 17, 1999

"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;
meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the
word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I
may make it manifest, as I ought to speak." (Colossians 4:2-4, NKJ)

Christ's Covenant Church - Warsaw, Indiana USA
This is taken with permission from the web site of the Christ Covenant
Church. Larry McCall and Steve Henry relayed this site to me as I met them
at a one day Bible Conference this last September in the Toledo, Ohio area
at Pastor Ron Schinkle's Lamoyne Baptist Church. Three of the missionaries
have been featured previously, the others will be featured in the months to
come. Please if you would like your web missionary page featured or used as
a reference by us let me know.
The information and letters of these following missionaries may be picked up
at http://www.kconline.com/churches/CCC/mission.htm
The information, only edited the links as they would not work as follows.

"Christ's Covenant Church takes very seriously our Lord's command to "make
disciples of all nations" (Matt 28:19). Part of our responsibility in
obeying His command lies in reaching out to other nations and cultures which
have very little if any gospel light. We are currently supporting
missionaries in the countries of Thailand and Tanzania. Another of our
missionaries, though State-side, is very active in church planting
ministries in Papua New Guinea and Mexico. In addition, we are in the
process of sending one of our families to Sicily.

The Apelands
Mike and Dottie Apeland are our missionaries to Ireland. They are working
with Drewstown House Camp and Conference Center. Hundreds of children go
through the camps. Some are evangelized for the first time and some are able
to be encouraged to grow in the Lord.

The Gaunts
Tom and Peg Gaunt and their 4 children, Lindsay, Michael, Matthew, and
Natalie, are our missionaries to Sicily. They are working with a veteran
missionary, Jonathan Gilmore, to strengthen Sicilian churches, assist local
believers in evangelizing their communities, and encourage other believers
through their gifts of hospitality.

The Lloyds
The Lloyds also were sent out from our church body. Their work is in
Tanzania among people that have very little gospel witness and no
established church. John and Donna are located on an island in the southern
part of Lake Victoria. They are part of a team of AIM missionaries.
John & Donna Lloyd, Box 1414, Mwanza, Tanzania, EAST AFRICA

The Longs
Gene and Mary Long live in Thailand with their two children, Jared and
Crystal. Their eldest son Allen is married and lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin
with his wife, Jasmine. Allan and Jasmine are in missionary training with
New Tribes Mission and hope to one-day return to Thailand as missionaries.
Allen and Jasmine look forward to their final year of training in Camdenton,
Missouri. The Long family left for missionary service to Thailand in 1978
with New Tribes Mission. They work with a group of people called "The Yellow
Leaf." Gene and Mary are learning the language of the Yellow Leaf and are
working with another family in translating the Bible into the Yellow Leaf
language. They also provide medical care and are teaching them to read and
write.

The Settles
The Settle family are in Tanzania to work among an unevangelized group known
as the Wataturu. Brad, Barb, Jason, Daniel, and Jessica Settle are the first
missionary family to be sent from out of our own church body. They are
currently in the midst of language study and adjusting to the Wataturu
culture and East African environment. The Settles are part of a team of
missionaries with Africa Inland Mission (AIM) hoping by God's grace to see a
church planted among the Wataturu.

The Sittons
Ministering to our neighbors to the south and on the other side of the globe
is the Sitton family. David Sitton was a missionary in Papua New Guinea for
several years until he was forced to leave. Now living in Texas with his
wife Tommi and their three children, he is utilizing his years of experience
to conduct research and educate God's people on the need for reaching the
unreached tribal groups in the world. He also is involved in church planting
work across the border in Mexico.
