Grace Prayer Bulletin # 68
August 8,1999
"And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name." (Exodus 33:17 KJV)Catania, Sicily, Italy - Chiesa Battista Calvario (Calvary Baptist Church)
Vincenzo Ingoglia sends all greetings as they have found a building and have moved in. At one point early in the summer Chiesa Battista Calvario was without a Church building. God graciously opened a door to purchase a property with limited funds they have. "There are many olive, almond, orange, tangerine and many other trees,"
Vincenzo writes. The church meets their existing needs and with some changes can meet the need for at least the near future. Pastor Ingoglia also said that "It will cost about £60,000,000 to erect a pre-fab structure plus all the furnishings. Again, we believe that God is able to provide all our needs. Lode a Dio. If you would like to be part of His work here in Sicily you can help us by: Praying with us. Helping financially. Writing words of encouragement. We thank each one of you for your faithful support and continued prayers."
In His Service,
Vincenzo Ingoglia, Pastor

Abel Van Biljon with Reformed Baptist Missions is thankful for the assistance of many in the purchase a new Toyota Landcruiser with a diesel motor. This has greatly improved his ability to travel around Namibia. Abel has been visiting the villages in the area of Opuwo, which is the city Abel is based.

E-mail rebooks@iafrica.com.na (Via Randall Miller)We have been made aware of other good men in Namibia and South Africa. To mention two men to begin to pray for.
1- Pastor Joachim Rieck pastors the Eastside Baptist Church in Namibia's capital of Windhoek. This is a church that Abel knows and which has been of assistance to him.
2- Pastor Laban Mwashekele of the Evangelical Baptist Church. Pastor Riech writes this of Laban: "He is greatly used in this vast country. He has many commitments and is always busy helping people and he is preaching the gospel in a God-centered fashion." Abel is very thankful to all for your partnership in the gospel.Pastor Les Walthers - Grace Reformed Baptist Church - Rocky Mount, NC -
Immigrant Farm Ministry
Grace Reformed Baptist Church has a ministry among the migrant farm workers in North Carolina. Pastor Walthers recently wrote of the hardship as the workers are working in 100 degree heat, and after 14 hours work 5 of the men still came to the Bible study. Pastor Les Walthers is thankful for your prayers for the migrant farm workers and some in particular. He said, "One new man attended by the name of Bacilio. He is 26 years old, married and has four children. He is working to help support his family. Bacilio listened with eager attention. Another young man by the name of Jose Luis has attended all of our Bible studies and listens with very focused attention."
This ought to serve as a rebuke to us who are believers and yet many of us fail to be faithful to prayer meetings and gatherings after 8 hours in sweltering air conditioning. May we be faithful to remember our missionaries in the fields, across the globe and across the street.
Monday, July 12th there was a Catholic Priest inviting many to a meeting in a neighboring camp. Even with this, twelve men attended the Bible study. Six who have attended on other occasions and four new men from Chiapas, Mexico. They confronted with another problem during the Bible study as Bacilio's brother came and was drunk. He was quiet at first, but caused disruption as the class drew on. Frank Urquidez, who is a member of Grace Reformed Baptist Church (Pastor Walther's church) was a great help with this situation. Frank remained outside in the rain with him for sometime. Pray Bacilio's brother will return, this time Pastor Walther's desires for him to be sober and listening to the gospel. Some other prayer request are for the priest not to have an influence in the camp, but that the gospel may flow freely and effectively. Pray for the dozen that came to the July 12th Bible study. There is a little more than 2 months before they leave to work on Florida's farms.
"Thank you for your faithful prayers on our behalf."

Simo is located one hour from Hungary. All of Simo's church family from Pec (Kosovo) except for one family have made their way up to be with Simo and he is now pastoring 12 families holding services in this home of his. Simo has distributed material in this region for some years. During the retreat of the Serbian Army the literature warehouse was burned. Fortunately 40% of the literature inventory was saved and transported north to him along with 70% of his personal library! His Albanian neighbors, protected his house and the church, they are not Christians, but loved and respected Simo. There is now an Albanian Baptist Pastor who is ministering in his old house and church. He is using the Albanian books that were left in Pec.
Simo is desiring to have another smaller warehouse built and needs $6,000 to this end. Despite the devastating circumstances Simo is rejoicing in God's sovereign work in providing opportunities for further ministry.

Cedo recently went to a village about 20 miles from Nis and held a Gospel service for gypsies. A gypsy family has been coming to the church in Nis. They invited Cedo to come on Friday night and preach the Gospel. Bob Selph said, "There were 30 people who came and they want him to keep coming. They met in the one family's house where the family lives in one room and another room is vacant and held the 30 people hearing the Gospel. The assembled group sat on bricks to hear the Gospel. Let us pray for a better place for them to meet, but more importantly, let's pray for Gospel power to transform lives by God's free and sovereign grace."
