Grace Prayer Bulletin # 66
July 25.1999For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth. (Exodus 33:16 KJV)
Fransesco Reale - Valencia, Spain
The following is an edited version of some letters we received from Fransesco Reale. "A few months back we presented before the Lord, a burden and a project, the burden was to reach the Spanish people directly in their homes, the project was reaching them through radio programs. What seemed a mere project five months ago, is slowly taking form and becoming a reality, a great and exiting reality that the Lord is making possible through the burden that many of our dear brethren here and abroad share with us. This work, with the help of the Lord will be available to all churches that wish to use it for the glory of the Lord in reaching lost souls.
The project will be realized in two stages, the first, is the one that is being set up this summer, it consists in building a recording studio, in order to make radio programs and distribute them to churches and missionaries that have access to airspace in their local radio stations. Once this stage is up and moving, God willing our next step would be to open a radio station here in Gandia. We don't know how long it will take to make all this possible, but we confide that although ambitious this project is in the Lord's hands from beginning to end, we count on your prayers and if your interest goes beyond that please let us know and we will inform you fully.

Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals Report (F.I.R.E.)
More than 30 pastors and delegates met in Escondido, California, at Grace Bible Church, April 26-28, 1999, exploring the possibility of developing a new association for the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals (F.I.R.E.). Because of the growing interest and urging of several pastors and their churches for an association which would provide a fellowship for those who are reformed and baptistic, Pastor Jim Newheiser (Escondido, CA),
Pastor Jerry Marcellino (Laurel, MS), and Pastor John Sale (Valley Center, CA) agreed to investigate the possibility of putting together such a group. Each morning began with a protracted season of prayer for each church and their leadership after they gave a report as to their blessings and needs. An important aspect of this prayer time also focused upon our call to missions, hearing reports from those in attendance who have responded to this call In particular, since our time of prayer for Jason Deutsch JADeutsch@compuserve.com and his family who were at that time preparing to leave for India, the Lord has answered our prayers by providing the additional support needed to serve in that needy land. This is an example of one of the desires of F.I.R.E., to network with sister churches, so that we can assist one another when the Lord gives us opportunity.
Pastor Jim Newheiser, who was most instrumental in coordinating and organizing the conference, led two very important sessions where we discussed a draft constitution and statement of faith. The statement of faith is a summary of the essentials of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 of which we are in substantial agreement. There yet remains work on the final details for the process of acceptance into the association.
Please pray for wisdom as this work proceeds and pray for those who will continue to give valuable time out of their busy schedules.
In closing, it was compelling to hear the testimony of other pastors as to the benefit of the days spent together. Furthermore, it is difficult to forget the urging of several of these pastors for something like this to be pursued further. Please pray for the wisdom of God and courage to act upon whatever His desire might be concerning F.I.R.E.
Respectfully submitted,
John SaleThis report was edited for Grace Prayer Bulletin. The offer is still open if you are interested I will send a full unedited version to you. The following is a web site where you may review the constitution and a few other pertinent documents that are in the forming stages. http://fireweb.cjb.net/ More information is coming in the near future.
Yours in Christ,
Rob Gerard
