Grace Prayer Bulletin #64
July 11,1999"Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die." (Genesis 19:19 KJV)

Email: hughcollier@compuserve.comIn contrast to this Gary and Jane Kopfstien are planning to return to England on 14th July and begin holding services in Blackburn in September if all goes well. This church was over a hundred years old and closed in 1997. They will be replanting this church using this building with assistance from some of the former members. After five months of deputation which has gone very well, they have only a
week to go. Their need was to raise an additional $1,500.00 a month support and we have already had confirmation of a third of this with a desire shown by several other churches who yet need to hold their church meeting and then will contact the Kopfstiens with the results. Please pray that the Lord would
indeed provide the remaining support as they continue to visit a few more new churches.
There are a number of new Church Plants that we have heard of in the USA and UK. The rare case is
Ellingham and its 300th anniversary. If you are a new church or know of new plants email us. If you are a old Church email us and allow to share the Mission work you have and these works with you. No matter how old or not yet existing we want to share your work in a missions, as we all are on a mission for the Chief Shepherd.Bethel Baptist Church - Zambia, Africa
This is an example of a young Church in Zambia. Your prayer is valued by Pastor Christian Kasumo as He recognized God's faithfulness and work in Bethel Baptist. The membership has dropped from 26 to 22. We have been losing members through departures of some members for other towns. About this time last year the elders decided that the Church could be divided into home cell groups. They are holding mid-week meetings would be held and evangelism conducted. This was in order to place the mid-week activities as close as possible to most of our members. Problems arose in one group in one of our home groups most of the members have been quite unwilling to evangelize in the neighborhood. This has caused some problems
the Elders have requested prayer in efforts to bring harmony and healing in that group might bear fruit.
The Church is applying to the council here (and also to one of the major companies here, Zambia Railways, who are disposing of some open tracts of land). Bethel desires land in order that they can erect a sanctuary for the Lord. Please PRAY that we may receive a positive response from one of these so as to realize our dream of having our own Church building. There is also the possibility of us renting a bigger building from Zambia Railways which we could possibly buy from them at a later stage (should they decide to sell). PRAY that the Lord may open this possibility for us. Bethel has also applied to Mt. Zion Bible Institute for branch status, so that we can be running a branch of their Bible correspondence course. Quite apart from being a door of ministry, this will obviously be very demanding on us. Please PRAY that with added responsibility the Lord might add the strength needed.
Next month the Church will reach 10 years of existence. To celebrate this and reflect on the Lord's goodness in steering the Church to its present position, we will be holding special anniversary services on the 29th August, 1999. All we can say is, "Ebenezer...Thus far the LORD has helped us." (1 Sam. 7:12) please, PRAY for all the arrangements being put in place in preparation for those special services.

Continue to pray for GLENN McMULLAN from Northern Ireland as he finishes his language studies in Costa Rica and hopes to be in Chile around August (we had earlier said June). He is planning to work with us in Rancagua. Ray looks forward to the opportunity of fellowship and ministry together Continue to pray for the Bible Institute class. The attendance has dropped down from 12 to about five students.
