Grace Prayer Bulletin # 53
April 25, 1999

Caribbean Trip
This last March Daniel Parks of Redeemer Baptist in Louisville, Kentucky,
along Todd Nibert of Lexington, Ky. and Gary Shepard, pastor of Sovereign
Grace Baptist Church of Jacksonville, spent time in the Virgin Islands.
They were at the annual conference in Faith Baptist Church in Tortola.
Cecil Parillon is the Pastor of this church and two young men in training
also taught in the conference. Kevin Williams and Jonathan Jn. Baptiste,
these man are in a need of a library, contact Daniel "Moose" Parks if you
would like to help (MooseParks@aol.com). In Saint Lucia Daniel spent time
with Peter Samuel. who is the Pastor of Patience Baptist Church in the
village Anse La Raye. Also in Saint Lucia, Moose preached at Berean Baptist
Church of Vieuxfort, presently without a Pastor.
Other churches visited were: The First Baptist Church of Castries, Pastored
by Joseph Fevrier and Grace Baptist Church of Bexon Pastored by Malcolm
Scholar.

IGLESIA BAUTISTA DE LA GRACIA
Pastor Oscar Arocha and Pastor Luis Mendez of Santiago, Dominican Republic
have a ministry through a radio broadcast. They were considering
discontinuing the ministry through a lack of response. A recent contact
gave some hope, they would like to ask for prayer that this ministry would
edify the brethren there.
They are also using Pastor Greg Nichol's material in developing a
discipleship ministry under the leadership of Newton Peņa, a deacon in the
church there. Pastor Mendez is leading our group of singles called "Young
People United by Grace." They already have fruit that God is blessing them
with
in this ministry.
Pastor Arocha has been holding weekly meetings with four pastors from the
area considering three basic themes: Improving the preaching, Pastoral
Counsel and the Use of Christian Liberty. The Pastors say that these
meetings have helped them to introduce biblical reforms in the life of each
of their congregations and to mortify the fear of men in seeking to exalt
the glory of Christ in the midst of His Church.
Iglesia Bautista De La Gracia thanks to God for the Hufstetler's move to
Santiago and for supplying their needs. They ask prayer for continued
adaptation to the
culture and for the efforts of Pastor Hufstetler to learn Spanish fluently.
The Church is hoping to begin a ministerial academy in two years.

Pastor Wayne Anderson in Mexico
Wayne lifts up praise the Lord's increase this last year. He ask prayer for
the progress of new visas for the opportunity to continue their work. They
have run into some complications, but are still progressing. Wayne states,
"We will need the new visa in hand before we can leave this summer to report
in our supporting churches. I am also needing this visa before we launch any
new ministry to avoid problems with the gov't."

Chiesa Battista Calvario in Sicily
Chiesa Battista Calvario in Sicily is in need of a location to meet as they
have lost the building they have been using. They were given a weeks notice
and that week is past. Please pray that Pastor Vincenzo Ingoglia and the
brethren there would have wisdom in finding a new place for Church to
worship.

Yours in Christ,
