Grace Prayer Bulletin # 34

A ministry of The King's Chapel

Grace Prayer Bulletin #34
December 13, 1998

I have the privilege of introducing some excellent missionaries that I have know for 20 years. We came to know them at Athens Bible Church in Ohio. It is with joy I can put forward for your prayer God's work in their family and mission work in Chile.
Sincerely, Rob Gerard.

Ray and Carol Harbaugh
Well, now for a very short bio. I became a Christian in Feb/Mar 1978 while attending Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Athens Bible Church became my church home. I married Carol (she was a member of Athens Bible Church a few years before my salvation) in 1982, started having children right away, and went on to Capital Bible Seminary in 1986. I finished seminary in 1989 with a MDiv. Our plans and prayers were always to be on the mission field, and the Lord has graciously permitted that. I, along with Carol, and our six children (ages 15 to 5), are serving in Chile as church planters. We are living in Rancagua (200,000+), Chile,
about 1hr+ to the south of Santiago (5 million), Chile's capital. There are many evangelicals here in Chile, but there is a glaring lack of trained leaders and sound Bible teaching. Besides our ministry of church planting, we want to see sound literature available that will strengthen and edify the many Christians and churches in Chile and throughout Latin America.
This is an edited version of their December prayer letter.
Dear Brethren,
We are looking forward to the visit of the Warrings from Fellowship Bible Church in Ann Arbor, MI. Jim and Sharon will be coming on the 9th with their two young children to visit the mission for three weeks. Sharon will be helping us with some testing of our children and Jim (along with Terry Thompson) will be helping us do some painting and repairs on our home. We continue to pray for the teens and the opportunity to reach out to them. Since summer vacation is upon us we will probably have a get together before Christmas and then plan something more regular for the fall. Greetings to all during this Christmas season. May our minds and hearts be focused on our Lord instead of on the things that perish.
Blessings in Christ,
Ray and Carol Harbaugh

Mike Paasch's Travel Plan to North Carolina:
This cross country trip Providentially gives us some opportunities we previously did not know were possible, namely visiting people and fellowships in the South, Midwest and East. Our outbound schedule will take us from Phoenix on the 6th of January to Union Mills, North Carolina no later than 17th of January, 1999.
Upon our completion of the training around April 1, we hope to travel up the East Coast towards New York. We will be coming to Pennsylvania for the Bunyan Conference April 19-22, 1999. From there we will make our way through the Midwest back to Arizona and then into Mexico. If you would be interested in having us visit, fellowship and share our ministry vision, please contact me via e-mail at the above address.
(For more information about our doctrinal beliefs, consult our Website )
We thank God for your faith in Jesus Christ! We would appreciate any opportunities to make the work of God in Mexico known in your assembly. If you could put our family up while we are in your region, that would be a blessing too!
A Dios sea la gloria, (To God be the glory)
Mike and Lynne Paasch

From Colin Howells we received this:
Thanks for the round ups and prayer requests. Can we also ask for prayer please. We're working in Brussels and in France. The Lord recently brought one young man to himself for which we praise Him. Next week, the 19th December, we have our Christmas "party". In the past this has been an internal affair. This time it is to be in the form of evangelistic outreach with the theme: "From Darkness to Light" with a
series of Scripture readings from Deuteronomy, the Psalms, Isaiah etc. coming through to the NT and the final declaration "I am the Light of the World".
All of this will be interspersed with appropriate hymns and a sketch done by the children. We are expecting about 50 visitors, a number of them Jewish.
Please pray,
In Him, Colin

From Mike Brunk see (Bulletin Number 32)
Dear Brethren,
I have a special prayer request. My son, Andrew (15), is leaving for a trip to China from December 20-Jan 7. I would appreciate your prayers for:
1) Safety.
2) Wisdom for opportunities to take and to distribute Christian literature.
3) Traveling with unsaved relatives.
4) God's using this in his life for Andrew's desire for the mission field.
5) Diligence to keep up with his Bible study and prayer.
Thank you.
In the Lord's Service,
Mike Brunk
