The following letter was picked up from the web site of Parkside Church, from Cleveland, Ohio. From Mike and Cindy Jurkovich
Dear friends and family,
We had a great time these last few months seeing family and friends while in America, and having many opportunities to share about God's work in Macedonia. We returned to Macedonia on Sunday, with a warm welcome at the airport by many of our Macedonian friends and our teammates. It is good to be back. But the reunion is bitter-sweet.
The very next day, my American teammates were told by the authorities that they had 2 days to get out of the country and never return. If you had not heard, 2 months ago they were denied renewal of their business visas, and were remaining as tourists. Cindy and I have the only remaining business visa, and ours runs out on October 15th. So we alone have about 6 weeks to pack and get out. I was looking forward to sending you a totally up-beat note, letting you know that we have returned. I know that I have asked prayer often for our visa situation, but this one more time (probably) we especially would value your prayers that God would permanently change hearts or give us high connections in the government or something in the next 24 hours. He may very well desire to move us on to another mission field, and we want to be available to go wherever He sends. Yet until this door closes we still feel that He wants us to serve Him with our utmost in while in Macedonia. Thanks for getting behind this ministry and our family.
In Christ,
Mike

Mike and Cindy receiving full financial support from Parkside Church in the Cleveland, Ohio area. This short note came from them yesterday:
Dear Rob,
We greatly appreciate your prayers and the prayer support you are stirring up for us. We are planning to apply for visas on Tuesday, so the timing is perfect for increasing our prayer support. We'll let you know what happens.
In Christ,
MikeTHIS IS A PART OF A LETTER RECEIVED FROM CUBAO REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH - Philippines
Pastor Joey Sarmiento's mother-in-law died a few weeks back and because she was the one caring for his children, he is currently without a baby sitter. His wife has to work to supplement their income as the church cannot fully provide for them. This means that until some provision is made Pastor Joey will be unable to teach. Gilbert is planning to fill in temporarily. Please pray.
Please pray that the Lord will bless and use the ministry of the Academy.
Thank you for your prayers.
The Lord bless you.
Brian & NecyMike and Patti Fite are serving in Paraguay as agents from their home church in Milford, Ohio. This is an excerpt from their prayer letter:
PLEASE PERMIT ME TO SHARE A FEW SIMPLE PRAYER REQUESTS AND ASK YOU TO PAUSE A FEW MOMENTS IN ORDER TO BRING THEM BEFORE THE LORD'S THRONE OF GRACE.
1. Saturday, November 28, will be A CONTINENTAL DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING for a spiritual awakening here in Latin America. Would you unite with your Hispanic brothers and sisters, asking God to break up the hard ground, especially here in Paraguay. We are planning six hours of prayer and
worship on that day.
2. We are planning to follow our time of prayer on Saturday with a baptismal service on Sunday, November 29. Please pray that God will smooth the way for our new believers as they prepare to make a public profession of faith. Remember especially Luis, Ricardo, Mario, Teresa, Zulma, Vivian, Hugo, Mirta, and America as we counsel them.
3. Please pray for the financial needs of our ministry. We are thankful for some recent special offerings that have enabled us to begin repairing our van. The following are our more pressing needs that will enhance the effectiveness of our ministry.
a. A portable sound system that could be used for street meetings, evangelistic conferences as well as regular church services. We are presently dependent on borrowed equipment.
b. Legal expenses for our incorporation process, as well as the speediness of that process.
c. The overhauling of our van -- since its purchase two years ago, it has needed new seat and ceiling upholstery. It is a cargo van converted into a 14 passenger vehicle. Because of this there are no windows in the rear that allow circulation in the back part, making it quite unbearable in the heat. Air conditioning would be a tremendous blessing . We transport many people back and forth to bus stops and homes each week.
d. Land for a future church site---accessible by bus routes as well as affordable
