Grace Prayer Bulletin # 87
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a
good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ,
just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because
I have you in my heart, inasmuch both in my chains and in the
defense and conformation of the gospel, you are all partakers
with me of grace" (Philippians 1:6-7).
I want to take this chance to rejoice with you all in celebrating the
incarnation of Christ. We celebrate the redemption that was accomplished at
Calvary, as we are graced to be amongst His people. Of course, we want to
celebrate his resurrection as always in and out of the season. We consider
it a great privilege to be a part of this wonderful work in serving our
risen Lord, who was given by the Father in His birth by the Virgin, as
promised. We will be sending a bulletin on Christmas day. As always we
will be available to receive your prayer information. Drop us a line if we
can be of service. On another note my job situation has and is changing
dramatically. I will have more time to write some Bulletins and other
notes, for this we rejoice. So please forward all the information would
like to us for sending etc. Love in Christ, The Gerard family
The King Family - Going to Florianolpolis, Brazil
Andrew King recently left the pulpit at Haywards Heath
Evangelical Free Church, England, in order pursue a call to
the mission field of Brazil. The burden grew out of a conference
he preached in October 1997 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He
corresponded much with the host and then returned in 1998 for
another visit along with Les White, a fellow elder of Haywards
Heath Evangelical Free Church.
What Andrew had discovered and then became burdened with was
the breadth of the Brazilian church that lacked depth. As in
many of the regional nations Brazil has a great lack of strong
preaching and teaching. With the South American Churches now
starting to send missionaries out into different parts of the
world the need for well trained men in sound doctrine and
Biblical exposition is now more critical than ever.
Pastor King is now preparing to go to Florianopolis,
January 12, 2000. The early priority of the King Family will
be focusing on the training needs in the Portuguese language
and Brazilian Culture. As time and learning allows they are
desirous to teach Seminary Courses and workshop conferences,
The oversight of this project falls into the hands of their
home Church in Hayward, other UFM Missionaries and with the
Church to which with they settle. At last available report
Andrew, Cora and family had 90% of support met with some Churches
have expressed interest but not yet having responded. The
Commissioning meeting will take place January 8, 1999.

Vijay Chandra - Ba, Fiji
The Fiji Islands are located in the South Pacific, half way
between Hawaii and Australia. In his letter for December, Vijay
spoke of a family in November that requested a visit. this
family had been coming to the Church few couple of months.
After sharing the way of salvation for about two hours the Lord
opened their hearts and they made a profession of repentance
from sin and faith in Christ. On the way home Vijay, at the
request of the head of the household dumped the Hindu idols
in the Ba River.
On November 25, Pastor David Steere spoke in a Baptismal meeting
to about 95 people. Many were from three different churches,
neighbors, as well a those from the Church in Ba. There a good
response to the message and from the baptism, of which many
spoke in Hindi, the family above were some of those baptized.
In the same morning the Morning Services were well attended,
in which David Steere again spoke, this was followed by an
afternoon service in the dedication of the new Church building.
The Chandras send their appreciation to those who helped in
the cost of this building and for the newly baptized believers
to prosper in their walk with Christ.

Kris, Nina and Gracie Brackett - Croatia
After sending their Christmas greetings, the Brackett family sent these
requests for prayer. "We will be having an evangelistic Christmas Concert
on Sunday Dec. 18 (about the time most of you in the states will be at your
Sunday Morning services). We will also have a Christmas eve service that we
have handed out many invitations. Please pray that God will use these
services and
the preaching of the Gospel of Grace to bring sinners to Himself. Two
families from our neighborhood have said that they will come, as well as, a
few shop owners in the town. This will be the first time that most of them
have heard the gospel. Pray that our God would work according to His great
grace and mercy and save these people. We hope to take advantage of
interest generated by the concert and Christmas Eve service and start an
evangelistic home Bible study in our home in the next couple of months.
Pray for wisdom in who to approach and focus on."
