Grace Prayer Bulletin # 31

Grace Prayer Bulletin #31
11-22-98

Information on Central America and Mitch:
This came from Jim Adams, Pastor of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship: As to info, and informing churches, there's an efficient way to do this.
CAM has prepared a Mitch video that we are trying to distribute to churches. It's short and tells the story well. You can get it by emailing CAM's president, Ron Blue, at . As to more concrete figures, let me give you one important one. In Honduras, around 40 CAM churches were destroyed (most in the southern part of the country) and around 1,350 believers from CAM churches lost their home and all their possessions.

Dear Pastor & Praying Friends,
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:11) In the months since our return to Mexico, we have been very encouraged by a number of developments, many of them direct answers to the prayer requests mentioned in our last letter. We praise the Lord for the spiritual development of Ivan Espinosa, praying that he will soon request believer's baptism. Ivan's father, Mario Ernesto has come to the services and Bible studies recently and has shown a new interest in the state of his soul.
Another family, Marķa de Los Angeles and Julio Cesar (mother and son 27yrs old) are now coming faithfully to the services and bringing relatives to the Bible studies. Julio Cesar now seems to evidence a true work of conversion. Gina Sauter called recently desiring to attend the Sunday services, which we pray indicates a renewed interest in the Word of God and in her spiritual state. I also had a wonderful opportunity to speak with Hector Bravo this week about the state of his soul due to a work accident that could have killed or severely maimed him. We continue to pray for his salvation as well as the salvation of Antonieta, his wife. David Trujillo, the Zarco family, Mario, Carlota & Misael, continue to come and we continue to pray for their salvation. Please continue to pray for Rosa Reyna, that God would work in her heart to renew an interest in the gospel to the salvation of her soul. We continue to see some visitors to the services for which we thank the Lord.
Our new press is almost refurbished and ready for printing. The technician continues to work on it albeit very slowly, but we hope to have it operating by the end of November. As soon as it is ready, I will be reprinting a number of titles that were out of print as well as several thousand tracts for distribution here in Mexico. I have also established a nonprofit Spanish publishing house in the States, Publicaciones Faro de Gracia, (Beacon of Grace Publications) to facilitate the publishing and distribution of our books to all the Spanish-speaking countries of the world.
So I would like to also take this occasion to present this special need of $8000.00 to $10,000.00 to print and establish an inventory of these books (3000 - 5000 copies of 15 titles). These books are sold and shipped at cost and all monies received from their sale goes directly into the printing of more books or more titles. I am in the process of securing the help of
other translators in this ministry, who are also donating their time along with those who are involved in the distribution of the books. We thank the Lord for the help of the churches and individuals who have already donated time and money to help with this ministry. Our hymnal continues to progress well. The rough draft was completed on time and copies were printed and
sent to about twenty Latin churches and individuals for proofing, corrections, and suggestions. Our next deadline is April of 1999 for the final draft and we hope to have the hymnal printed in July of the same year. Since our last letter, our family's health has improved considerably after
doing some renovations on the bathrooms that required the repair of the drainage and plumbing. I also installed a water filter system for the entire house so that our water supply no longer looks and smells like sewer water. It is wonderful owning our own home so that we are able to make these needed corrections and repair.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1) Please pray for open doors and open hearts as we present the gospel.
2) The salvation of the Bravo family, the Hererra family, the Zarco family, Gina Sauter and family, Rosa Reina, Mario Ernesto, Marķa de los Angeles, and David Trujillo.
3) Spiritual growth of Ivan Espinoza and Julio Cesar and public profession of Christ through baptism.
4) The literature ministry and funds for the new publishing house.
5) A more public place to meet and God's blessing as we seek to begin a second week-night Bible study.
6) God would use the recent natural disasters to the salvation of many.
7) We also ask for continued prayer for our health and safety in one of the world's most polluted and dangerous cities.

George Seevers - Pastor - Sovereign Grace Baptist Church
I read with interest Bulletin #30. It is heart-rending to hear of the circumstances in Great Britain. John Blanchard had in the past mentioned how things have slid. I do not know of a church in Bryan-College Station, nor do I know of one in Dallas. I have been pastoring Sovereign Grace Baptist Church of Texoma for nine years now. We are of the 1689 variety. I am BI-vocational, driving 61 miles one way each morning to work on a freight dock in Irving, Texas. Our church meets in our home. We are about 40 miles from the Central Expressway Interstate 635 interchange in North Dallas.
A good Sunday morning "crowd" will be 35 people including children. Two years ago, we were down to my six and an older married couple. The Lord has recently been giving us many reasons for encouragement. Earlier this year I completed a three year and eight month Sunday morning study of Hebrews. Since then I have been plowing through Philippians with similar speed.
Sunday evenings I teach through 1 Timothy. Those needing a church in Dallas might find us a bit far, nevertheless, we would provide a loving occasional "support group."
In His bonds,
