Staff Xmas Party
Help celebrate Christmas in true 'Vodafone style!' Clear your calendar for you and a guest to join us at our sensational annual Staff Xmas Party. This is held in Auckland, it's always themed (you have been warned), it's always fun, and it's always talked about! Ticket Sales go on sale around Oct/Nov.
For all you non-Auckland residents, you're more than welcome to join the city-ites, or go forth and plan an event locally. Just contact your manager for specific details.
Funky Whanau Day!
Bring the family, get in amongst it! February 2002 marked the first Funky Whanau Day and it was a raging success. Your children get to truly experience Vodafone culture along with you in a fun and safe environment. It's kinda like our kid's very own Big Day Out. (and the parents seem to enjoy themselevs immensely as well.) Entertainment, Food, TV & Sports Celebrities- it's all going on. It's a great day, for true!
Dragon Boating
Vodafone shows "Passion for our People" each year by sponsoring a Dragon Boating crew. It's a doddle, really- you get soaking wet, the training is gruelling, you get to lurch around in the biggest canoe you've seen since The Jungle Book- oh, and there's 24 other bods on board, a little partying with other corporate teams, and compulsory singing of chants at the top of your voice. Sound like you? Thought so. New recruits are called for around Nov/Dec. Flex your muscles...
FYI - Vodafone has featured a number of times in the winning line up over the last couple of years, as you'd expect with all our fitness motivated staff!

Round the Bays
Come and pound the pavement with us. Each year we encourage you to enter Round the Bays 'fun' run (not the contradiction in terms that it sounds). You'll get some goodies (eg. hat, t-shirt, water bottle) for your troubles, and an injection of team spirit to ease the pain as we drift around the waterfront. Afterwards, of course, we finish the run with a Vodafone-style celebration in the salubrious confines of our colourful marquee. A chance to dance/sleep off the muscle pain and put some of those calories back on in pleasurable fashion. Most excellent.
