The POLISH RABBIT - 'The Little Aristocrat'

The Polish is a small, compact rabbit. The ideal senior weight is 2 1/2 pounds, the maximum allowed is 3 1/2 pounds. The hips are to be well-rounded and wider than the shoulders, with a uniform taper through hips, midsection and shoulders. The topline rises gradually from the earbase to it's highest point at the center of the hips and falls in a smooth curve to the base of the tail.

The head is medium and short, with full cheeks and muzzle. The ears are to be small and in balance with the body. The expression of the eye is bold and alert.

The Polish comes in 6 recognized varieties; Black, Blue, Broken, Chocolate, Blue-eyed White and Ruby-eyed White. Polish have a fine, dense flyback coat

Although we have had several other breeds, the Polish has proved to be "our" breed. Our herd was founded on stock aquired from Ken Majors, Faye Scheef, Ed Lahmann and Christie Jensen, who started it all for me with 2 BEWs and a REW several years ago-thanks to all of you!
