High above the timberline throughout the great Rocky Mountain Range grows the ancient and most majestic Bristlecone Pine trees. They exist and thrive under the harshest conditions...occasional thunder storms create forest fires that have in the past left a dead growth of trees standing for over 100 years. Bristle Cone Pine Inc. preserves their majestic beauty and aged patina in the form of jewelry boxes, coaster sets, and other occasion gift items. All Bristle Cone Pine Inc. products are made from ancient dead standing Bristlecone Pine and Rocky Mountain Cedar as well as dead standing Aspen trees.
Bristlecone Pine Inc. is a small family owned business nestled in the rural town of Romeo, Colorado. The company mission is too skillfully and artistically create one of a kind works of art that are both useful and intrinsically valuable for their customers. They strive to make quality jewelry boxes, gift items, and specialty items, improve customer relations, product quality, and delivery time. The purpose and goal of the business is to utilize natures products without destroying live trees but utilize the wood from dead standing trees of Bristlecone pine, Rocky Mountain Cedar, and Aspen.
The jewelry boxes come in a variety of interesting sizes and shapes used as gifts for many occasions...as a desk organizer to store jewelry, wallets, or priceless items. Artisan Cary Spannagel his wife Geraldine and their three children Jeremiah, Joshua, and Jessie all help to create these beautiful containers in their wood shop. The dead standing trees are carefully selected and shaped utilizing the natural patina then painstakingly shaped into useful gifts or collectible art. No two are alike...matched pairs are carefully shaped into mirror images of each other.
Many cultures throughout the world appreciate the unique aesthetic and intrinsic value in addition to their usefulness. The wood containers are rustic in appearance and come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and product lines: jewelry boxes, container jars, bird houses, cutting boards, coaster sets, matched pairs (wedding occasions etc.), heart shaped drawers, mushroom lid jars, totems, cedar branch handle boxes, and aspen products.
One-of-a-kind glass tables feature running broncos sandblasted along the edges covering the most majestic ancient Bristlecone Pine tree root.
Jewelry boxes range from three inches in diameter to twelve inches in diameter.
