Stage 1: The Bomb
------------------

Okay, here we go. At the start, run down all the slopes. just keep running, running, running... until you get to the area with the boxes and the gas spewing from the walls. Avoid the gas and keep going by hopping onto box to box until you get to a large maze. From here, glide onto one of the roofs, and hop along the other ones until you see a fenced area. Keep going towards it and jump down there.

Open the fence door you see, and run towards the lady in that area. You will untape her mouth and you will realize there is a bomb seconds away from exploding right beside them. Don't panic... ha ha... relax. There's no time limit. Run towards the barrels after the small cut-scene and leap over them, fall down, and land in a narrow passageway. Follow the passage until you get to a massive slope. Run towards it. The bomb will explode, and you and the lady will slide down the slope with everything blowing up behind you. You have no control over Batman while he is sliding - but you can rotate the camera left and right with the analog stick! Purdy exciting! After a moment, you will go to a cinematic cut-scene with Batman jumping from the slope and grappling to safety.

Stage 2: Ransom Note
---------------------

Now you are in a flaming area. You place the lady on the ground, and "Mary's Letter" falls from her jacket. So pick it up and read it, stupid. After reading it, Batman will go back to the batcave.

Stage 3: Batcave Training
--------------------------

After a small conversation with Batgirl, you will be forced to go to the training room - but YOU have to find it. You may miss it the first couple of times. There is a little walkway leading down lower to the training room door. Enter it.

When you enter, you will hear Alfred telling you to prepare your Bat-Grapple. So, whip it out. Then he will tell you to grapple on to the high ledge. So stand in the right place, aim your Bat-Grapple to the target and let 'er rip. Once up, pick up the Bat-Cuffs there. Then, jump lower onto the very tall box thing and pick up the Batarangs. Then glide onto the floor.

A small pillair will rise from the ground. Whip out the Batarangs you got, but do NOT hit the red flashing top part. Take out the arms on the sides. THEN you will be able to punch and kick the snot out of that red flashing top part. After you've finished that, the next training sequence awaits you behind the door... ... yeees, go through the door!

Okay, to avoid the spinning laser, go to the rocky wall farthest away from you and press Y. You will press yourself against the wall. Now, while still pressed against it, move along the wall towards the button. When you are a safe distance away from the laser, press Y again to release yourself from the wall. Now, press the button with Y. Now, one more training sequence and you're home free.

This is a freefall sequence. You will jump off the runway and fall towards the waterfall below. Don't panic. Your goal is to catch the little plastic training doll that is about to fall into the water. To do that: Use B to slow yourself down and Y to speed yourself up. And to catch the doll, just collide with it. You will automatically catch it. Congratulations! Well done.

Stage 4: Rooftop Battle
------------------------

From here, glide down to the rooftop in front of you. Take out the thug (optional) and cuff 'im. now grapple on to the next roof and take out the thug there (optional) and cuff 'im. Now, hop along the metal wire bridges and run up the tiny hill. Walk to the edge of this roof to see a cut-scene.

You will see Mary sitting in her apartment when all of a sudden, Joker's goons break her door down and take her away. When the cut-scene ends, hookshot onto that building's rooftop. (**IF YOU WANT ENVELOPE A, YOU SHOULD GO TO THE CHEAT ENVELOPE LOCATIONS SECTION AND CONTINUE FROM THERE). Beat up the thug (optional) and run towards the top-left corner of the roof and pick up the health there. You'll notice your grapple signal is flashing from there, so whip out your Bat-Grapple and grapple onto the tiny target up high that leads to the long, lanky balcony. Jump over the gap in the balcony, and open the door. You will see the goon with Mary run through one of the doors. Follow him until you are on a very small balcony. Grapple onto the larger platform in front of you and beat up the thug (optional) and then stand at the edge of this platform where there's no fencing. Aim your Bat-Grapple to a tiny target far away from you, and grapple over. This will take you to a maze of concrete walls and wooden boards.

Now, go to the left, jump over the pit and land on the ground. Jump across again, landing on a board. Now, press yourself against the wall (w/ Y) and move across the VERY thin walkway. Once you clear it, you will see the goon with mary run across a roof just below where you are. Jump off the platform you're on, and glide towards that rooftop and land on it. Now, stand at the edge and grapple to the big building ahead of you. If you have done this all right, you should now be standing on a dragon-like head. If you are, jump down, beat the thug (optional) climb the ladder, run, and stop. You will see the goon with Mary again run across a narrow walkway far from you. Run to the dragon head ahead of you, stand on the tip of it, jump a mighty leap and glide to the rooftop ahead. If you did it right, you should've just grabbed onto the edge and climbed up. Now run along the narrow walkway until you get to a very big slope. Jump on it and slide down.

Just between the slope edge and the building you're heading for is a gap. So be careful here. When you reach the gap, jump and glide over it from the slope towards the edge of the building. you should have grabbed on to the fence. Now simply walk forward into a cut-scene.

Boss: Joker Goon
-----------------

Get ready to fight this guy. He's not too hard. He's a pushover if you have mastered Batman's moves. Just finish him with a series of combos and special moves, and you'll knock him out cold, baby. Just make sure you handcuff him after you beat him, or else he'll get up again. Now get ready for another cut-scene.

Mary explains that the Joker took her son Toby and held him for a ransom of 5 million big-ones. Whoa. Then Batman will give Mary an emergency call button that she can press anytime she's in trouble. Then you'll be brought back to the bat-cave.

After another conversation with Batgirl, Batman's emergency call button signal will go off at Gotham Bridge, obviously because Mary pressed it. Therefore, you'll head to the bridge.

Stage 5: The Bridge
--------------------

(**IF YOU WANT ENVELOPE B, THEN GO DOWN TO THE CHEAT ENVELOPE LOCATIONS SECTION AND CONTINUE FROM THERE). Head towards the thug and beat 'im up (optional) and climb the ladder to the right. Beat up the two thugs there (optional) and run past the truck with it's headlights on. Run until you reach the path in between the sides of two trucks blocked by an orange warning sign and a box of batarangs. Jump over the sign, press yourself against the truck's side, pick up the batarangs and proceed into a cut-scene.

In this small scene, you see the Joker standing on a wrecking ball holding Toby over his shoulders. A goon is holding Mary by the arms there, too. In a few seconds, the goon will see you, and you'll have to fight him.

Boss: Joker Goon
-----------------

Beat him up like you did with the big one in the rooftop battle stage.

After you're done, climb the ladder ahead to reach a series of platforms attatched with ladders. Keep running along the platforms, climbing all the ladders, beating up all the baddies along the way, until you get to the door at the very top. Enter it and get ready to fight the Joker.

Boss: The Joker
----------------

Once on the balcony, grapple onto the other platform to reach the Joker. He is still standing on his wrecking ball with Toby on his shoulders, but this time, he swings the giant ball and tries to smash into you. Pick up the box of batarangs, and stand behind one of the metal pillairs. Get in your batarang throwing position, as you do not have much time to do this. When he tries to swing at you, he will bang into the metal pillair and stay still for about 1 second. Once he's stunned, throw batarangs at him. Repeat this process to defeat him.

After defeating the Joker, he will drop Toby off the platform into the water, and you will have to catch him in a mid-air freefall. Use the technique you used in the Batcave Training level. Once you catch him, you will bring him back up and find that he is not Toby, but a mere plastic doll! And it is actually A BOMB!! It will blow up in Batman's face, and he will fly into a wall. You will realize more things now. There is no Mary or Toby; Mary was actually Harley Quinn in disguise and Toby was nothing but a plastic doll! Wierd, eh? Anyway, after the cut-scene, you will have a fist fight with The Joker.

Boss: The Joker 2
------------------

This cheesehead isn't hard. Just beat him up with combos and special moves. A series of cut-scenes will appear as you decrease his health. Eventually, you will end up kicking him off the platform. Batman will dive and grab his hand. Instead of grabbing Batman's hand, the Joker shocks him with a little gadget. In shock, Batman will let go of Joker, letting him fall into oblivion with a pocketknife in his mouth with the engravement, "TOBY" in it.

Stage 6: The Bridge 2
----------------------

In despair, Harley will jump in after the Joker. You jump in too, and you have to catch her now. Do the same thing you did with the Toby doll. Once you catch her, she will start whining and walking away. Then you will go back to the batcave.

Now you will enter a cinematic cut-scene with Mr. Freeze. After you watch it, you will be brought back to the bat-cave for a chat with Batgirl. After that, on surveillance videos, you will see that Mr. Freeze has been infiltrating Gotham Industrial. This is your next mission.

Stage 7: Isaac Evers
---------------------

Talk to Batgirl, then run forward. Find the cop frozen in ice, then punch the ice he is in to break him loose. After you've finished, punch the giant wall of ice blocking the elevator opening 3 times to break it. Then jump in and glide to avoid minor damage.

When you land, you will be in a room with one woman thug. Kick her teeth in (optional) and continue on by breaking another big ice wall blocking a stairway. Punch it to pieces, and run up the stairs. At the top there will be another ice wall, so break it. In this room, run to the door at the top-left corner, and you will run into another cut-scene.

Apparently, Mr. Freeze is looking for a man named Isaac Evers. Batman will tell Batgirl to research him for info. After that, go through the door.

In here, beat up the thug (optional) and run to the X-shaped door to your left. Open it and go through. Same with the next door.

You should be in a massive room with huge tubes filled with water all over the place. Beat up the thug to your right (optional) and grapple onto the tube ledge to your left. Once there, run around the tube and glide onto the tube ledge below you. Then run along the bridge connecting the two tubes, run to the other tube and climb the ladder towards the left. Once finished, run around THIS tube and jump/glide onto the next one, and climb the ladder to your left. Now, run along this next bridge and beat up the thug (optional) and climb the ladder AGAIN to your left. Pick up the health in front of you, turn around, and run across the final bridge. You will see a frozen cop. Punch him loose, and he will drop "Storage Area Key 1". Pick it up. Now, face the wall and look for a hallway in the middle of the wall (if you have at least half a brain, you won't miss this) and jump/glide towards it. Run to the door, and go through.

Stage 8: Isaac Evers 2
-----------------------

As soon as you start, run to the left and climb the ladder. Run along the walkway until you get to the platform conveyer belt. At the right moment, jump on one of the platforms that shoots out and ride it to the end of the room. When you get to the end wall, jump onto the staircase below you to your left, run up it and punch free the frozen cop. He will drop, "Storage Area Key 2". Now, jump off that platform towards the thugs shooting at you and beat them up (optional). After that, run towards the giant pile of ice. Once there, run to the right, run up the side of the ice and jump onto the walkway. Run along it, get to the door and open it.

Here you will see Mr. Freeze holding Isaac Evers at gunpoint because of some video Isaac sent him. Once Mr. Freeze sees Batman, he will send 3 woman thugs after you. Pick up the box of cuffs, beat up all the women and cuff them. After you do, Mr. Freeze will start shooting at you. Dodge his bullets and run towards the stairs he's on. Once on the staircase, Mr. Freeze will freeze your legs (don't worry - this is supposed to happen) and take Isaac Evers into his helicopter and fly away.

You have to break out of the ice on your legs. To do so, rapidly tilt the control stick left and right until you break free. After that, Batman wil call for... ...the Batplane.

Stage 9: Freezecopter
----------------------

Now you can drive the Batplane! You have to chase Mr. Freeze's helicopter through the streets of Gotham City. Keep shooting at him, dodge all the buildings and walls and signs in your way, until finally you get to chase the copter over the red clouds. Don't stop blasting the Freezecopter. Keep shooting until it starts blowing up. When it does, the Freezecopter will fall and Isaac Evers will fall out of it. Don't worry. Batman catches him in the air automatically. Then you will go back to the batcave.

After talking to Batgirl, you have to break into the Promethium Lab and hack into Evers's files. So be it.
