GAME RULES
These are pretty basic, and for the most part are self-explanitory. MSG the Help Board if you have questions.
1. No swearing. Also no sexually explicit or graphic gore-and-horror posts. This site is intended for ALL LotR fans, and, as such, should be kept appropriate for fourth or fifth graders and up. We can and will delete all messages and posts with inapproppriate content.
2. When you post, you post only your actions. The character who your actions are directed at, and ONLY that character, can decide what they do, and the consequences of your actions. Example: Elf #1 could say: "He raised his bow and shot an arrow at the evil Wizard." He could NOT say, though, whether it hit the Wizard or not. It is up to the Wizard to decide whether he gets wounded, jumps out of the way, blows the arrow away in a cloud of dark magic, etc.
3. Do NOT post out of character in the normal area. Keep those posts for the OOC Board.
4. Only Wizards and Eagles can start good-guy Quests. For bad guys, only Dark Wizards and Balrogs. This is to avoid Humans, Hobbits, Orcs and such coming up with random ideas. Also, anyone who becomes a Mage they can start a Quest. Until that point, if you have an idea, MSG the Help Board with your quest idea, and I'll sort-of "introduce it to you" if it isn't weird. After all, I'm a Mage.
5. Make sure to follow the limits placed for certain creatures.
6. You must join to play. If you do not post your joining and just start playing we can (and will) delete your player's
messages and posts. But remember, if you need help, you can still MSG the Help Board.
