PHOTOS ! Opening Up A Mind's Doors and Windows!

COMMISSIONING PHOTOGRAPHER for hire!
_________________________________________________________________
So, perhaps you feel a need to open up your mind's doors and windows, to allow yourself the air and oxygen to think straight!; then you may find inspiration here by reading on..
And if you are someone who needs to create for a living, your mind is always turning around, and looking for that bit of *pictorial inspiration to set you off on the train of kinetic-syntax-action.
Well, something similar must have taken J.K.Rowling into one of her twenty seven fantasy world Edinburgh "offices", The Nicolsons Restaurant (This has now become a Chinese BUFFET KING Diner since March 2003; now November and currently enwrapped in scaffolding)every day, (which is a stone's throw away from *Potter Row* and a close proximity to local *Herbal Potionists' outlets*), to open up the creative flow for Harry Potter to walk into her head, and spin his magic. Now he is walking through the minds of the world, on 1000 Prints of the "Philosopher's Stone" on it's general release. It cost $80m to shoot, but caught $90m gross biz on it's first weekend of launch world-wide. This dosh came out of the pockets of kids from age 3 to 93, and at the time broke all records for a "first 5 day's takings"! Very good business!
Anyway, sometimes maybe all it takes is to overhear a spoken word in someone's mobile phone conversation on a bus, to set you going on the line of thinking and kick-start mental imagery. Some writers say just write and don't think about it; do your minimum 1000 words a day! Sometimes, it takes a catalyst. Whatever it takes, I hope your fountain of creativity flows freely.
================+
Another form of stimulus is the imagery of Photography and/or Video, and can be that catalyst complimenting your creative thinking process. Or there's the photo's taken by someone else from their perspective and it gives you a different slant on the subject in focus.
Either way, It all adds up to another angle to be coming from!? And that's where I come in!
I can snap-shot or do DVD shoots for myself, but it is far more rewarding doing it *Freelance* for you or customers in general. Also, I can do shoots that are considered to be "crackpot" by design, just so long as you are willing to pay my high demand fee for the project;...(*should I choose to accept such work).
NOTE: I draw the line at pornography. I leave that to others, and I simply won't accept that work!
For mainstream work such as Wedding Shoots, I provide you with a choice of 70 exposures for a Base Fee of £300:00 for the shoot's duration, and graduate it upwards according to extended needs. You then decide whether you want to have an album compilation; or other configurations.
My "SPECIALITY" is *Nostalgia work for any people who want to have photowork done to prompt their memories of places they knew or specially hold dear. The appeal, I find is for the seniors, or for close family or friends; or anyone who may feel they are counting their time.
Other work I do are shoots of street scenes; this happens a lot, particularly during the EdFest Fringe any year, catching Buskers and Street Performers at work. They come into the city from all over the world, giving the place a real buzz!
Or "before and afters" at redevelopement sites, eg. road outlays/realignments; demolition and rebuilds; propery refurbishments et al.
If any of this makes a lick of sense to you, you can send me that first contact email, and we can take it from there.
Best regards.
Tom.

EXCLUSIVE: Photshoot of Kris Kristofferson in Edinburgh for 2004 Saint Valentine's Night "solo gig".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------=>
RP #1. The aftermath of the Union Canal flood into the streets of Fountainbridge, the site directly opposite the Edinburgh childhood home, and early work domain of Sir Sean Connery; namely by way of the Scottish and Newcastle Brewers Tartan Club car parking area, for those in the know.
RP #2. On a shoot at 19:00 hrs, in the dusk of evening on Wednesday 4th September, I caught "the" autograph signing session. It took place at the new Edinburgh HARVEY NICOLS; this being it's official opening date *Event/s. They are now into hosting GALA BINGO fund raisers for charities, and the clientelle love it!
The celebrity on duty was none other than Ewan McGregor, who emerged from a side exit in the newly established street named Multrees Walk; and only a short distance away, as the crow flies, is the exhibition focused on the new Star Wars production!
So, this shoot also took in the *whole panorama, to include the press photgraphers brigade in full photoflash mode; the live Television crew; the rooftop staff; the well heeled onlookers; all chauffeured upmarket transport on call; the Hoi Poloi and the attendant Police....the whole damn Shebang misses! Incidentally, HARRY EAST was a chauffeur to The Duke of Edinburgh and scooped a cool £2.9M in the National Lotto of Saturday 17th January 2004; one of only two winners.
RP #3. Another photoshoot has been at the "BARROWLAND" on the Gallowgate in Glasgow.....A total sellout!
It captured the gig that was a *Tribute to Frankie Miller; organised for Saturday 7th September by Alex Downie to raise money for the Drake Music Project. This is the organisation that is supporting Frankie since he took ill..(to make access, please use the link provided).
The star contributer to the event was none other than Joe Walsh of the "Eagles" fame; initially a fan of Frankie, and now a long standing friend.
The whole show was recorded_(19:30 - 03:00 hrs)_by the BBC Radio Scotland's Mobile Studio / OB unit, and it is believed to be scheduled to go to air on "Hogmanay", New Years Day 2003. Check out their *www.bbc.co.uk* ..website.
RP #4. This Photoshoot was coverage of the "911" Commemorative Service held in Edinburgh. It evented in the Saint Giles Cathedral in Parliament Square from 12 noon until 1 pm BST. I took in the landscape of the attendent Media covering those Dignatories, Heads of State, Diplomats, Consuls and members of the Business Communities from across the spectrum; to serve as a record of the tribute on this First Anniversary.
RP #5. It is an update of the stage of development that the "HOLYROOD CONCRETE GANGHUT" finds itself in; the date is the Friday 4th October 2002; on the day it is announced that the new guestimate of the "completion cost" is to be £300M; it will, and does continue to escalate out of control! *www.scotsman.com* .. will give a running on update for any with an interest.
The spin is that it is to include a new upgrade to strengthen the structure against bombing by terrorism, and factors in specialized window glazing and landscaping at £14M.
Who believes them?
It has since escalated further!
RP. #6. The aftermath of the recent, and "largest City fire in living memory", is an ongoing study.
Day one was the Saturday of the 7th of December 2002. It is rumoured to have started in the kitchen area of "The Living Room" venue on the ground floor. It spread throughout the night and engulfed the whole complex of venues. Damping down water load went into many thousands of gallons.
The most renowned of all the venues is "The Gilded Balloon". The complex is likened to a "rabbit warren". Individual entity losses have been extensive. The Firefighters were unable to detect the seat of the fire for some time, allowing it to take such a strong hold. Teviot Row is its 2003 outlet;(see website for more details).
City engineers have condemned the site remains. Many surrounding roads contiue to be closed. It is hoped to reopen them in time for the "Hogmanay Street Party", at New Year 2003.
Demolition is now ongoing at a pace; likewise the photoshoot.

OFFICIAL RELEASE: Extract from www.edinburgh.guv.uk site
Background:
A fire broke out at around 8pm on Saturday 7 December in the Hastie’s Close area. It rapidly spread to nearby buildings and eventually to the buildings on the southwest of South Bridge during Sunday morning.
Fortunately there were no casualties. One firefighter was injured but it was not serious. About 200 people were rehoused with the majority returning to their homes on Monday.
What is the current situation?:
On 11 December, the City of Edinburgh Council took charge of the area around the Cowgate and South Bridge fire site. Some of the buildings affected by the fire on the South Bridge and Cowgate unfortunately cannot be saved. Demolition of these buildings began at 2pm on Wednesday 11 December and is liable to continue until around Easter 2003.
Demolition will continue seven days a week between 7am and 7pm. Every effort will be made to minimise the dust problem. We will also try and restrict noise and disruption outwith daylight hours, but there may be some movement of heavy plant at other times. Demolition will continue into the New Year with clearance of the fire site hopefully finishing before Easter.
Keeping your windows and doors shut will reduce the dust nuisance in your home.
To all intents and purposes, the site is almost clear of rubble as at Saturday 25th January(Burns Night)2003, with Easter the deadline. It is to be the site of an archaeological dig for 16th century artefacts prior to redevelopments!..Again suggested site_*www.gildedballoon.co.uk*
RP. #7. Is a photoshoot of the EDINBURGH PEACE MARCH 2003. At the gathering point of BRISTO SQUARE, MSP Robin Harper of the Green Party was seen in company with the now retired Bishop Holloway.
A real character was a gent who had hitch-hiked in from Clydebank to mix and mingle with the assembled, and the Press and Media et al. He was on his very own "No War_PEACE on EARTH!" mission. It ended at the *MOUND PLACE hill in it's frontage to the temporary Parliament building of The General Assemley of the Church of Scotland.
HRH Queen Elizabeth ll, likewise made her access to the building there, when she made her Golden Jubilee visit of 2002.
RP. #8. Suffice to say, these go rollin' on 'n on !
====================================================================+>
Your first visit here at the g1assg1ow world window, is probably just an "hello!" and only a passing interest?
But...if there is a second, it's hopefully to invest some confidence. This is an exclusive "word of mouth" site.
Many thanks.
