A New Kind of Medicine is Rapidly Emerging: Anti-Aging Medicine
Dear /Readers,

I am so happy to bring you this latest information from the 6th International Conference of Anti-Aging Medicine. In addition to the interviews we taped with some of the leading anti-aging physicians, I have compiled some of the best information from the meeting itself.

Millions who are striving for youth and longevity are seeking information on Anti-Aging Therapeutics. One in three adults under 50 is now shopping for Anti-Aging products which include better medicine, proper nutrition, vitamin and mineral supplements and Anti-Aging Hormones.

Anti-Aging Therapy is already helping individuals live longer, better lives. Many new hormonal and nutritional therapies keep arteries unclogged, blood health y and without clots, blood pressure normal, aging bones from breaking, and eyesight and hearing at their peak. My goal is that you shall all have a long life and better health naturally.

Why Are Hormones Important to Anti-Aging?
In simple terms, hormones are activators of many bodily functions. Hormones function as biological pacemakers, orchestrating the body’s many functions in a delicate and balanced manner. Hormonal messages sent through the bloodstream activate or deactivate many biological processes including sleep and wakefulness. When all systems function properly within our 24-hour cycle we are at our best.

Hormones are chemical compounds formed by the glands and carried in the blood to other organs and glands. When these hormones reach their target, they stimulate that body part to function more vigorously.

When hormones are balanced, the body is able to do miraculous things: regenerate new tissue, create an abundance of energy, and defeat itself against disease causing microbes.
all your health questions answered Leaders in Anti-Aging Medicine have concluded that a deficit in the body’s production of hormones is the most probable cause of the growing incidence of premature aging in the general population.

The primary goal of natural hormone enhancement is peak physical and mental performance. Long-term consumption of synthetic hormones leads to the degradation of all natural systems and reduces the body’s ability to maintain balance and order—by naturally producing its own hormones.

With lowered production of testosterone, estrogen and DHEA, we get fatter and flabbier; lose our energy and sex drive; and lose our youthful resilience to disease. A vicious cycle ensues. Abnormal hormonal responses also weaken our digestive capacity. Our liver, pancreas, gall bladder, stomach, and intestines decrease in function and we are less able to absorb the nutrients our body needs to restore our hormones to youthful levels. An overriding message at the conference was that hormone balance if vital.

The Longevity Life-style
A nine-year study completed at Stanford University found that most people who live past age 100 have several things in common. They sleep seven to eight hours a night, always eat breakfast, avoid smoking, and exercise regularly. Also

They consume little or no alcohol. Moderate drinking—no more than two drinks per day with meals—helps prevent heart disease in older people. But if you’re younger than 45, the risk of alcohol-induced liver trouble or other illness outweighs the benefits to the heart. Anyone who has a history of liver damage should avoid alcohol.

Avoid excessive weight gain or loss. Men should weigh no more than 20% over their ideal weight, women no more than 10% over their ideal weight.

Eat sugary snacks infrequently, if at all. Sugary snacks cause blood sugar levels to fluctuate, and can contribute to blood sugar abnormalities.

Natural Progesterone Protects Against Breast Cancer -
Latest News From Anti-Aging Experts

The protective action of natural progesterone on breast cells was demonstrated in an important study in 1995 by Dr. K.J. Chang. Results indicated that unopposed, estrogen increased cell proliferation by 230% whereas progesterone decreased it by more than 400%! Application of an estrogen/progesterone combination cream maintained the normal proliferation rate.

Why is this significant? Excessive cell proliferation (hyperplasia) is a recognized signpost of potential cancer development. Most researchers and naturopathic doctors understand completely that estrogen, especially in the form of synthetics such as Premarin, is a promoter of breast cancer and that progesterone balances or opposes the undesirable side effects of estrogen. Many studies offer solid evidence that progesterone has an important role in preventing and treating breast cancer.

NOTE: Please be aware that synthetic progestins such as Provera are not the same as natural progesterone.

In addition to counteracting the increased cell proliferation caused by estrogen, there are other mechanisms by which natural progesterone protects against breast cancer.

A very significant study done by Dr. William Hrushesky in Albany, New York revealed that estrogen promotes delayed apoptosis. Apoptosis is the system our body has to destroy old cells. Normal cells are programmed to live for only a specified period of time and then die as new cells come to replace them. If old cells are not destroyed, it increases their risk of becoming cancer cells. Natural progesterone decreases delayed apoptosis.

Thirdly, the metastasis or spread of cancer cells depends on the permeability of blood vessels which allow the cancer cells to pass through walls. Natural progesterone reduces blood vessel permeability and thus helps protect against cancer cell metastasis.

A link has also been found between cancer and progesterone on the genetic level. Researchers B. Formby and T.S. Wiley grew cultures of cancer cells and then treated them with estrogens and progesterone. They found that the estrogen alone promoted cancer growth, but when progesterone was added, tumor suppressor genes were stimulated and the cancer growth was stopped.

More Important Evidence that Progesterone is Protective
A study done at John Hopkins showed that the breast cancer incidence was 5.4 times greater in women with low progesterone than in women who had good progesterone levels (regardless of age and history).

The incidence of all kinds of neoplasms was 10-fold higher in women with low progesterone levels as compared to women with good progesterone levels.

When breast cancer researcher, Dr. David Zada studied the estrogen and progesterone levels in breast tissue specimens taken from women who had undergone surgery for breast cancer he found that almost universally, they reveals estrogen dominance and deficiency in progesterone!

More than 10 other studies demonstrated a better survival rate and longer disease-free period when women had a healthy progesterone level at the time of their breast surgery. One 20-year study showed that women with a high progesterone level at the time of their breast surgery had a significantly higher survival rate than those with a low progesterone level.

Your doctor may not be aware that natural progesterone has these protective qualities. Certainly, mainstream medicine is becoming more knowledgeable about progesterone cream. One area of resistance is that many physicians measure progesterone levels with serum (blood), but this measures only protein-bound progesterone. When progesterone is absorbed transdermally, it is not protein-bound and travels in the blood on red blood cell membranes where it is loosely bound and readily bioavailable. Saliva hormone testing is the proper way to measure this non-protein-bound progesterone. Because many physicians use only blood tests, they are very apt to say that natural progesterone is "not working".

The physicians we interviewed at the Anti-Aging Conference urged us to tell you not to give up on the conventional medical community. The evidence is too strong and too abundant to be ignored!

Hormonal Secrets to Losing Weight
According to Dr. Vincent Giampapa and Dr. Paul Yanick, Jr., two anti-aging experts, the principal goal of a diet should be to enhance hormone metabolism. Enhancing hormone activity and reception will make your diet more effective and lasting.

When you eat hormone-enhancing foods you’ll be satisfying your hunger, which means it will actually be easier to lose weight while eating more food.

Hormone-enhancing nutrients and foods can help you:

Stimulate the release of fat-burning hormones

Improve the efficiency of digestion

Increase your energy levels

Reduce cravings

Suppress your appetite

According to these experts, the body needs fuel to function optimally and lose weight. When the body runs out of slow-burning fuel, we gain weight. The rate of this energy depletion is dependent upon our diet. The more acidic our cells and tissues become, the faster we gain weight and the less hormones we produce. When we’re too acidic, we can’t digest fats efficiently. A lack of essential fatty acids creates deficiencies of hormones.

Diminished hormone levels result in a decrease in the body’s ability to convert and store energy, the primary cause of weight-related problems. That is why the use of prohormone nutrition helps the body restore normal levels of hormones.

What Can the Anti-Aging Diet Do?
To be effective, hormone-enhancing nutrition must be packaged in a way that will reach all hormone-producing glands of the body.

When these nutrients reach endocrine glands they can accomplish the following:

Accelerate cellular functions that are too slow and inefficient

Help to renew old and depleted cells.

Help to change nutrients into energy and hormones.

Help to remove wastes and by-products of metabolism.

Protect the cells from free radical damage and enhance immunity.

Fine tune and energize hormone receptors.

Provide the critical precursor compounds necessary for the body to produce melatonin, DHEA, hGH, and neurotransmitters.

The anti-aging or hormone-enhancing diet accomplishes the following:

It maintains acid balance, keeping our pH within optimal limits. Digestion, absorption, assimilation, and the utilization of nutrients improve as pH is brought into the normal range.

It maintains a healthy pattern of detoxification in the body. When pH is optimal, many enzymes involved in the detoxification of environmental pollutants are able to excrete, rather than store toxins.

It maintains HDL and LDL cholesterol at optimal levels.

It maintains the body’s neurohormonal equilibrium by maintaining the balance between HGH and insulin, and glucagon, and DHEA and cortisol.

It gives us the perfect balance of protein, fats and carbohydrates. Mother Nature has given us this perfect balance in the Superior Hormone-Enhancing Food Group. No calorie-counting or computations are necessary!

It is designed to maintain and balance the body’s immune system. The result: a longer health span and optimal patterns of regeneration.

Anti-Aging Tip:
If you are over the age of 50, take a regular 325 mg aspirin daily.

In a long term study of 22,071 male physicians, taking aspirin reduced the incidence of heart attacks by 44%.

EFA-Boosting Foods
EFAs are the building blocks to ecosanoid hormones. EFAs must come from the food we eat as we can’t synthesize them in our body. The most important—linoleic acid—is abundant in raw almonds, tofu, avocados, cashews, garbanzo beans, olive oil, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds.

Monosaturated fats are the best fats to consume. Cold-pressed, extra virgin olive oil, sunflower seeds, macadamia nuts, almonds and cashews are excellent sources of these fats. Unlike saturated fats, these fats do not raise blood cholesterol or cause you to gain weight. They are powerful precursors to hormone activity and production in the body.

Melatonin-Boosting Foods
The complex carbohydrates included in the hormone-enhancing diet program cause the body to produce more melatonin. The elevation of pH and enzyme activity may improve the way melatonin binds to receptors inside the cell, creating a better hormone balance.

If you’re melatonin deficient, try to eat one or more of the following foods at your evening meal: whole oats, wild rice, ginger root and tomatoes.

Tryptophan, an essential amino acid, is the molecule from which melatonin is derived. The pineal gland makes melatonin by converting tryptophan to serotonin and then to melatonin. Increasing the intake of tryptophan increases the production of melatonin. Good food sources of tryptophan are soy products, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and peanuts.

Optimal aging and optimal health span requires the willingness to learn about healthy life-style changes. Once you accept responsibility for your health and make basic life-style changes, improved health and longevity can be a reality.
