I don't wanna grow up!
No way. I am not gonna grow up. I want to be a child and look at the world through the magical glasses of a child. Come along and see what can happen to you if you look at the world through the magical glasses of a child.
Here's my thought for this week......
Let it go
We hold on to what happened to us a week ago, a month ago, ten years ago. Let it go. Stop beating youself up with a past memory that keeps haunting you or a past event that others continually bring up. Let it go. Tina Turner sings it best, "holding on to the past, it only stands in our way." Here's a simple method: Claim it. I mean take responsibility for whatever has happen. A mistake, a failure, a missed opportunity. Claim it. "You're right, I was wrong. My anger got in the way." Claim it. "I should have stayed home and spent time with the family instead of going out and always putting myself first." Then after you claim it, the next step is Aim it. Where do I need to grow now? Aim in a new direction. I need to aim my life to be more patient, kind, compassionate and forgiving. And after you claim it(take ownership), aim it(grow on) then Disclaim it. Let it go. Forget about it. It's the only way you can live worry and guilt free, let it go. Take your clue from kids, they don't hold on, they trust enough to let go.
