My name is Bryan Lestarjette and this is a research paper I wrote in Fall 2001 for my Honors Interdisciplinary American Studies class at San Jacinto College South. It got an "A" and was selected to be read at the Great Plains Honors Council annual meeting (I was invited to go myself, but couldn't, so one of my classmates presented it for me). The class itself was interdisciplinary: half American History Before 1875, half Composition I. My professors were Dr. Eddie Weller and Dr. Greg Smith, respectively. Oh, and in case you are wondering, I am a Friendswood resident.
