Our Mission
Because of non-Biblical teachings and the erroneous doctrines of men, our generation, both Christians and non-Christians alike, has suffered the consequences of calling that which God calls good evil, and that which God calls evil good. Through Biblical teaching and revelation, Freed From Shame's mission is to equip individuals with the knowledge and understanding of the Word of God, as related to the human body and its creation as the very Image of God in the earth.
Our goal is to ensure that this generation of Christian men and women are delivered from the lie that their bodies are evil and, therefore, un-spiritual. Our bodies, united with our spirits and souls, are the chosen vessels and reflection of the Image of God. Freed From Shame is a candid, honest look at the Scriptures and facts surrounding the human body and the Living God's viewpoint of this most wonderful of His creations.
Freed From Shame was birthed out of the personal experiences of Michael Anthony McGrath, a man with a prophetic calling to the Body of Christ. Having struggled with shame and shame-based behaviors for many years, Michael sought the Lord Jesus Christ for deliverance and healing. In the Fall of 2003, the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to Michael in physical form. After this appearance, God began revealing to Michael His heart for His people, and His viewpoint regarding the purpose of His creation of them and their complete restoration through the Lord Jesus Christ's work on the cross and through His resurrection. Michael lives in Littleton, Colorado, with his wife, Stephanie. They are church planters and teachers in the house church network in Denver, Colorado, and throughout the Front Range.
