'Sometimes I forget your white'
I was told recently by my 17 year old foster daughter..."Sometimes I forget your white"...I chuckled and asked her if that was a good thing because as a caucasian mom of 2 african american children I didnt know if she was claiming that I was acting in a way that she deemed inappropriate, but she reassured me that YES it was a good thing!!!
