FLYING TRAILS
Welcome to a snapshot inside a small segment of General Aviation (GA). Like other forms of transportation, GA pilots utilize aircraft in many ways and for different reasons. Most the public and some pilots are unaware of the possibilities and opportunities for the flying outdoors enthusiast.
The ability to fly can expand the boundaries of the Dilbert weekday warrior. Destinations requiring days to travel by automobile can be accomplished in a fraction of time. As example, I can take off from the Phoenix area early morning and have a tent pitched in West Yellowstone by that afternoon. Given more time, only the coast lines dictate the outer boundaries.
Whether your a pavement pounder in a complex aircraft, a new pilot, student pilot, expert pilot or hopeful candidate; I hope you find this web site entertaining and inspiring. It's geared toward the outdoor flying adventures of camping, fishing, hiking, biking and discovery.
Pilots that frequent the back country and venture the outdoors makeup a very small segment of the pilot community. As result it's not uncommon at all for one to land in a remote strip in Idaho only to find an old acquaintance camping out.
After 20 years of flying I have taken hundreds of pictures. So I will continue to add more pictures of places and people. Some pictures are not so clear as they are digital photos of old prints.
Thanks for visiting!
