Creative Innovations In Supervision
A simple guide to Improved Supervision & Management Techniques
Too often we have seen many companies rise and fall, and we always seem to have a tendency to lay our blame on the poor economy, slow sales, hiring the wrong employees, etc. However, if we were to really analyze the "reason" more carefully, I believe we would inevitably wind up in one of two categories:
1) Bad / improper management decisions.
or 2) Lack of properly educated Supervision.
I will stress that I am not saying the choice of management personnel is an incorrect one, only that the judgement and reasoning deployed may need some "adjusting", the mind-set must shift. I also would point out that the term "educated", in referrence to supervision, does not necessarilly reflect upon "formal" education, but education as to what role the supervisor should use to address the situation at hand. Supervisors must also learn their primary role is that of a "servant". They are to serve the needs of the employee.
This is just one of the major pitfalls that any company can avoid with a little training, and alot of practice. CIIS can help in more ways than one, here are some of the more beneficial methods that we have found to be most effective within companies of virtually any industry and of any size:
