RollerBall
A new and fun sport that we made up.
Rollerball consists of an 8 to 10 man team. Played indoors at skating rinks. Only 4 players from each team allowed on the rink at the same time. Team has 3 runners and 1 goalkeeper.
Rules:
1)4 players on rink from each team
2)Only 1 goalkeeper per team
3)Must dribble the ball. Once you stop dribbling the ball you must either pass or try to score. If you pass the ball,the ball must bounce once before your teammate gets it. You dont have to bounce pass it if your teammate is only 2 to 3 feet away from you.
4)Jumpball occurs to start the game off. The ball is dropped and one player from each team must wait till the ball hits the ground before they try to get it.
5)Jumpball may also occur when 2 people from opposite teams both grab the ball on the ground.
6)To score you can roll it into the goal or throw it into the goal. (The goal will be like a soccer goal but not as tall)
7)Game length will last 4 periods of 10 minuets each.
8)You can sub in players only on scored goals,fouls,or timeouts.
9)To score or attempt to score you must also be at least 5 to 6 feet away from the goal.
10)No pushing,tripping,punching,kicking,or physical contact. You may run into each other or the other players but if it is on purpose and the refs see it then that will be a foul. 3 fouls and you are out.
11)Foul shots-The player that got fouled gets at the other end of the rink,then he makes his way to the opponets goal and trys to score. Only the person that got fouled and the goalkeeper of the other team take place in the foul shots.
12)There will be 3 refs,2 on the rink and 1 just outside the rink.
13)You must wear skates,other safety equipment is up to you.
14)Goalkeepers are the ONLY players that wear shoes.
15)Must at least be 10yrs of age.
