From your CD...
The weather this time of year is very unpredictable. Even the weather man can’t get it right. But never the less, on October 26, we had our chapter cook out at Walter and Jane Vaughns place on Blackwater River. We had hot-dogs, chili, baked beans, pasta salad, and chips. It was raining a little bit, but we were under their house. After we ate we sat around, picked guitars, sang a few songs, and had a good time. We had had about 20 people at the cookout. We missed the rest of the chapter.
On November 2, we went to Mobile's Fun Day. There were nine bikes and 2 four-wheelers for a total of 20 people. We had a lot of fun with the games and won several door prizes. Our chapter won $25.00, for the largest chapter in attendance.
On November 9, we went to Panama City for the Iron-man Triathlon. There were seven bikes from our chapter. We escorted the bicyclists on their 112 mile ride. It was lots of fun. We had a little rain during the ride and several crashes (bicycle crashes) during the ride. We had a good ride back home.
Everyone have a safe and Happy Holiday.

Ride Book 2003
Now that we have your attention here is what we want you to do. Next month at our regular scheduled meeting bring a paper with this information. Suggestions for future dinner rides, suggestions for Saturday rides and plans for a weekend campout. Also if you wish plan to lead one of these rides. If we plan ahead for next year great things can happen. Only those working together can make a good chapter. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Will be riding with you next year.
The Candy Cane
“It had to be special to be a gift for the King of Kings”, thought the humble candy maker.
Not just a piece of candy would do.
It had to be hard candy because the church is built on the solid rock and God’s promises are a firm foundation.
It would be formed in the shape of the Good Shepard’s staff..
A “J” that would also stand for the precious name of Jesus.
Its white stripes would symbolize the virgin birth and sinless nature of Christ.
Its small red stripes would represent the scourging Jesus suffered on His way to the cross.
Its large red stripe would remind those with eyes to see and ears to hear of the blood Jesus shed as payment for out sins.
“It would be a gift of love that would tell His story,
The greatest story ever told.”
News from the editors
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Just a note to inform everyone that we will no longer be the editors of the newsletter.
We plan to do some traveling next year and will not be able to do justice with the newsletter. As you all know it takes a lot of time and effort to get it accomplished. We want to thank you all for the cooperation that you have given us. We plan on being around to do things with everyone and to attend some of the meetings. We just will not be able to do the newsletter. We will be glad to help anyone who needs it and we will try to write some articles from our travels. Please give the next person the same kind of help that you all have given us. Thanks again God Bless Smitty & Irene
Recipe for Kindness
Fold two hands together
And express a dash of sorrow
Marinate it overnight
And work on it tomorrow.
Chop one grudge in tiny pieces
Add several cups of love
Dredge with a large sized smile
Mix with the ingredients above.
Dissolve the hate within you,
By doing a good deed
Cut in and help your friend
If he should be in need.
Stir in laughter, love and kindness
From the heart it has to come,
Toss with genuine forgiveness
And give your neighbor some.
The amount of people served
Will depend on you,
It can serve the whole wide world,
If you really want it to
Food For Though
Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck
To Our Sick and Shut-ins
May he who knows our every need
And hears each silent prayer,
Bless you with His love today
And keep you in His Care
A Hug
No moving parts, no batteries.
No monthly payments and no fees
Inflation proof, non-taxable
In fact, it’s quite relaxable;
It can’t be stolen, won’t pollute.
One size fits all, do not dilute,
It uses little energy,
But yields results enormously.
Reliever your tension and your stress,
Invigorate your happiness:
Combats depression, makes you beam,
And elevates your self esteem!
Your circulation it corrects
Without unpleasant side effects
It is, I think, the perfect drug:
May I prescribe, my friend,…the Hug!
And of course fully returnable!
Now go out and hug someone!!!!!!!!
