I am Lonnie "Alowishus" Smith, and I have been in the ghost-turkey-finding business for 42 years. This page is dedicated to educating people on the art of ghost-turkey-hunting, and on ghost-turkeys themselves. Over the past 42 years that I have been in this business it has become quite clear that many people think ghost-turkey-hunting is a joke or even a fairy tale. I take my job very seriously, and hopefully after seeing some of my pictures, you can leave my site with more of an open mind about the ghost-turkey business.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF LONNIE
5:00PM-5:45-Wake up, eat a large breakfast of chicken noodle soup, 4 bagels with pineapple cream cheese, 2 glasses of milk, 1 glass of Orange Juice, and 16 ounces of water
5:46-6:00-Put on the "gear" for ghost-turkey hunting. The gear consists of 4 layers of wool socks, steel toed work boots, underwear, and raincoat made of non-radioactive material
6:01-7:00-Drive to the day's ghost-turkey hunting site. Usually under old covered bridges
7:01-3:00AM-GHOST-TURKEY HUNTING
3:01-4:00-Drive home
4:00-4:30- EAT A LARGE DINNER and review the findings of the day.
4:31-5:00-Wash my feet and go to bed
Much of the activities during the hunting for ghost-turkeys must stay confidential, or I would tell you about them, but IF YOU ARE TRULY INTERESTED IN BEING A GHOST-TURKEY HUNTER, I AM TAKING APPLICATIONS, and the PAY IS GOOD. Just email me why you are interested, and why you would make a good hunter of ghost-turkeys. I also need to know your accomplishments in considering you for the job. This is a huge undertaking, but can be a quite rewarding occupation. Also, I will hire convicted felons, but only in certain cases. Also, if you are hired you will only have to work 4 days of the week.
