Look at this as a concept....A video camera of attractive design, small and inconspicous, which watches this area. It turns on when it senses movement. At the same time, it turns on your VCR and records whatever it sees for the next few moments. Then it turns off the vcr, and itself as well. It then is in the "watch for movement" mode. But what if it is dark? No problem. It has in it's enclosure a small bank of infrared lights, infrared light is invisible to the human eye. But the CCD camera sees in the dark very well, with this source of light. No noise. No warning to the trespassing vandal he is being caught in his actions.
