James's Africa Fat Tail Gecko page
Care of africa fat tail geckos:daytime temperatures should be around 85 degree and at night it may cool down to 75 degrees .The day time temperatures can be achieved by using a 100watt bulb and a under tank heating pad make sure that the gecko cannot touch the bulb.Do not I mean Do Not use heat rocks it can burn your africa fat tail gecko skin.there should be a cool and warm side in the tank.you can house two geckos for every 10 gallons so if you use a 20 gallon tank you can put two in there.Do Not Put Two Male TOGETHER They will fight to the death.They can live up to 20 years.The males get about 10-11 inchs long and the females get about 9 inchs long.Feed Adults baby mice and crikets don't forget to dust the food with Rep-Cal.They need a water every day .Feed them 1 baby mice and 4 crikets every other night.these geckos they are active at night.Use 100watt day bulb for 6 hours and use a red 75watt at night so that you can watch them be active. They need 2 hide boxes to sleep and hide in 1 on each end one in the cold section and 1 in the warm section for bedding use Cal-sand or in the cool hide box use moss do not keep baby ones on the bedding i just said use news paper. please sign my guest book
