If you pay the current retail market value for anything it’s probably going to be very difficult for you to be able to make a profit, so to make it big and to make a fortune from buying and selling you need to think of buying wholesale and not retail so you can make a profit. If you pay a seller’s initial asking price in most cases it will be very difficult for you to make a profit on that item because in order to make a profit in that instance you would have to price your item at a higher price than what you paid for it to generate a profit. And if you over price your stuff obviously it’s going to be harder for you to sell it. So never pay the asking price unless you know or estimate that the seller’s initial asking price is a real bargain which could enable you to re-sell that item for a profit without you having to over price it when you go to re-sell it.
The way to get rich from buying and selling is to negotiate to buy stuff at low prices for example if a guy wants to sell me a motorcycle for $1,000 and I say “I’ll give you $500 for it” and then if the seller says “no” I could then make a counter offer and say “how about $650?” and then the seller might say “ok” or he might say “no” and if he says "no" if I want to I could then make a higher counter offer or just say “ok thank you” and then leave without buying that item. But let’s say that the seller accepted my offer of $650 and then what I would do next is I would immediately try to re-sell that motorcycle for $1,000 at the same price that the seller that sold it to me was originally trying to sell it to me for. And if I sell it for $1,000 my profit would be $350 ($1,000 - $650 = $350) and that’s not a bad payoff for a few minutes of negotiating is it?
You can make a fortune by negotiating to buy stuff at a low price and then just simply re-sell the stuff for more money than what you paid for it and then bingo you make a profit and then you can just re-invest your profits to continue to buy low and sell high. I can pick up a local Thrifty Nickel Shopper paper or local newspaper or go to Craigslist to look for stuff that’s being offered for sale and then go around and make low offers to buy that stuff all day long, and have the potential to create billion$ for myself by continuing to "buy low and sell high" and so can you.
