GENERAL CONFERENCE Convened at the Lone Tree Church, Galva, Kansas November 1-3,1942

1. Appreciation of CPS Program
This Conference gratefully acknowledges the CPS [Civilian Public Service] program as a blessing of Divine Providence and sincerely appreciates the consideration and respectful attitude of our government toward its nonresistant citizens. We trust, however, that as we continue through the experimental stage, different improvements shall shall be effected to make it of more mutual satisfaction.
2. Charitable Institutions
This Conference approves the establishing of a charitable institution or institutions. Whereupon a Charitable Institution Fund Committee was appointed to receive funds for said purpose. (Refer to Art. 19, 1946 Conference.)
3. Crop Insurance
We do not recommend participation in government crop insurance.

4. Reaffirming the Eighteen Articles of Faith
We hold as our confession of faith, the 18 articles of General Christian Faith as found in the Martyrs Mirror, as agreed upon by the United Churches at Dordrecht, Holland, on the 21st day of April, 1632, as well as the 33 articles of Faith also found in the Martyrs Mirror.
CONFERENCE COUNCIL
November 4, 1942
1. Centralized Publication Place
This Conference commissions the Publication Board to decide upon a favorable place where all Church publications, or publications approved by the Church, may be purchased.
2. Church History and Doctrine Writing Committee
Resolved, That a committee be chosen to write a history of the Church of God, bringing it up to date; also needed literature on points of doctrine. Whereupon, a History and Doctrine Writing and Proving Committee was chosen.
3. Hymn Book Committee Chosen
The long-felt need of having our own hymn book was again considered and favorably passed upon. Whereupon a committee was chosen to compile said book. (Refer to Art. 22, 1946 Conference.)
