'Bama's Observations for Die Me Dichotomy', Pt3

Conclusion of BamaGirl's award winning episode review.

71. Oh, my. John's ability to speak is close to the neural implant. And at first, John is clearly upset to learn that he's losing various memories *and* that he could lose his ability to speak coherently. But the more he thinks about it, he doesn't really care if that happens. He?s lost the one person he wanted to talk to and remember anyway.

72. Good grief! No wonder John was suffering all this time. That neural chip was unbelievable! Or could it be that part of what was removed was some of John's brain and that made it seem so large? What did y'all think?

73. More kudos to Ben. Not only can he do "crazy" better than anyone I've ever seen, and not only is he adept at various accents, but he can talk gibberish with the best of 'em! Not bad for a good ol' Southern boy from North Carolina. Ben, if I had an award that carried any clout whatsoever, I'd give it to ya!

74. So, do you think Braca recognized Aeryn in the cryo tube or not? It didn't seem to me that he did, but I could be wrong. And Grunchlk needs to learn how to hide. He's also obviously someone Braca has come in contact with prior to now. It'll be interesting to see what, if anything, we might learn about that.

75. Ironic twist, wasn't it? The chip has been removed. Then we see Scorpius walking through the facility humming "The Star Spangled Banner". And, of course, he knows exactly where to find Diagnosan Tocot and John because he's been there before. (refer back to #53)

76. Don't you know John's heart and mind were racing frantically when Scorpius entered the room. And I'm sure he only felt worse when Scorpius killed the one being with the capability to finish the procedure on John's brain. But, did Tocot *really* die? That is yet another unanswered question.

77. I know some people really like the type of villain that Scorpius is and aren't ready to see him go. I am *not* one of those people. (No offense to Wayne Pygram and his fans.) Scorpius has worn out his usefulness for me and has become almost "cartoonish" or like a "super-villain". He doesn't appear to be able to be killed or even merely stopped. I wanted to laugh when he told John that John had cost him much. The same is true for John. Scorpius has cost him his sanity, a daughter he'll never see, his friend, Gilina, his innocent curiosity as a scientist, and the love of his life, Aeryn. And now he may also have cost him the knowledge he needs to try to return home one day. Also, if rumors about Season 3 hold true, it will cost John more of his humanity as he attempts to fulfill his desire for revenge to which Scorpius has condemned him. But first, there's the "small" problems of getting his speech back and returning his brain to normal. No wonder John cried out in frustrated anguish!!

And that's this week's observations, dear friends. (Almost 80 of 'em, Shipscat... ) I apologize again for the delay in getting them written and posted. A special thanks to my friend, Mesascaper, for her motivational technique she employed to encourage me to get these written and posted, she basically *whined* me into submission! {{{{{Mesa}}}}} I encourage y'all to share your own thoughts about the episode or my review of it. But, please, don't include spoilers for the upcoming season. Speculate all you want, though. I love reading creative thoughts!!

And the revelation of my special guy is following in the first reply. I remembered that some of y'all have told me that you like to print out my Observations to keep. I thought you might not want the personal details of my life along with them. *Please* be sure to read all about him and us!

Anxiously awaiting Season 3,
Sharon in Alabama
